They don't like her, they just hate Bush. I've talked to many dems among my family and friends, and the great majority of them agree that T.H. will be a embarassment as a first lady, but they're willing to accept that because they hate W. Very few people are voting "for" kerry. Polls have confirmed this time and time again. Does not bode well for him.

This CFR B/S is getting so convoluted I don't see how they can do anything more than throwing it out. Bring back the first amendment!!

I hear you, but sadly, that's not the direction we're headed. It's getting to the point where we're going to have to mix "other" speech in with political speech in order to get it protected (something we can't do, but the Left is all-too-willing to do).

Here are my thoughts on the subject.

I think it's quite obvious that these people proposing to limit political activity on the Internet are doing so with one thing in mind. They want John Kerry to be President and the Democrats to control both houses of Concgress.

These people do not have the best interests of this nation in their hearts. All they're interested in is reacquiring power for the Democrats so they can missuse and abuse it to go after their political enemies.

Remember what the senior campaign spokeman for the Kerry-Edwards campaign said about them running the "Stolen Valor" broadcast. "They better hope we don't win".

I for one don't trust these people with my rights and I don't think any conservative should trust them either if that's their intentions for the next four years. I'm very leery of John Kerry's America.
Regards.

There is no way in hell the FEC will be able to regulate political activity on the web. Just stick the servers on http://www.sealandgov.com/ "the principality of Sealand", and tell the FEC to "bugger off"

You beat me to it. I do question, however, if these government types have any idea how the internet actually works. How is the FEC going to regulate a site based in Canada or Israel that engages in US political activities? Are they going to block access as does China?

Hey, maybe they'll get into regulating books that are published as well...

We all know that the only sort of speech that is NOT protected is political speech. Thank You SCOTUS!

"It amazes me how many Americans cannot see the jewel of a president we have compared to what is lurking in the wings trying to get into the house in order to spoil it..."

This has amazed me from the start of this campaign....I just can't believe there enough people that stupid, that Kerry could actually be elected.

As for this article.....we CANNOT let this happen.

Who knows how much money ViaCom dumped into the Richard Clark book? Seems to me that would be corporate donations to diseminate political information.
