Obviously no one told this person that if you see a light at the end of the tunnel you should be aware of a train coming.

A couple of things. Remember why Kerry and Edwards brought up the fact that Mary Cheney is a lesbian? They wanted to do what they could to depress Karl Rove's Christian legions and keep them home. Worked in 2000, why not try it now?

The anus was probably talking to a friend who works in the lower rungs of Kerry's campaign. Those people are -always- talking to their online friends. The people who actually know something aren't talking. They're looking at their internals and wondering why they are heading south.

So, they have to tell the troops that they've got some magic weapon that will kill BushHitler. They have a weapon, I'll bet, but it's hardly magic.

Now I have ALWAYS known that Bush will be assaulted by some out of the woodwork charge. It will be leveled on Thursday of next week, not Friday. Remember, the DUI thing came out on the Thursday preceding the election in 2000. Gives it one day plus Friday to dominate the nightly propaganda shows that the networks put on PLUS the talking head shows heading into the election.

So what will they do? Well, remember the one guarandamteeya thing that almost always works is sex. The Democrats will use a cutout, perhaps Larry Flynt, perhaps one of their other outriders, to level one of two charges:

1. That Bush had a homosexual relationship with some rump ranger they will dig up who served in either the Texas or Alabama Air National Guard. This clown will surface, will have neither proof nor pudding, but the Dems will hope that that will be enough to keep the Christians away from the polls. Now remember, most liberals despise Christians, and in so doing, believe that Christians are ignorant and "easily led". I suspect that such a charge would backfire, but again, one can never tell with a gay slander.

Andrew Sullivan might be happy, however.

2. OR, someone will surface who will swear up and down that Bush and Condi Rice have been having a sexual affair. Now this actually might resonate better among some black voters. You'll recall that Bush has been scoring in the high teens in some recent surveys of black voters? Well, some of them really don't like Dr. Rice because her accomplishments have been made on her own. A sex charge might service their assumptions that Condi has been sleeping her way to the top. Further, the Dems would hope that this would piss off women, who would wonder how Bush could have betrayed Laura.

The concept that Condi could simply be a very close friend to the Bushes will not have entered the heads of the Kerry campaign people, of course. There will have had to be something untoward going on.

Remember that this is how these people think. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel now as Bush begins to pull away; so they will get desperate. Understand who John Kerry is-a man of low character, big ego, and extremely high ambition who has been a rich woman's plaything most of his life. He will do virtually anything to gain the Presidency.

The fact that he could not hope to unite the country and lead the nation in the midst of a global war after such a hideously ugly campaign has not crossed his mind, and never would.

That is what we face. Therefore, let us as Republicans recall what Mr. Churchill said in the dark days of 1940:

"Let us go forward together."

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I like the "Alligator Rule" analogy myself: "When you're up to your *** in alligators, its hard to remember that your first objective was to drain the swamp."

If what they are telling me is true, and they haven't been wrong yet....

Not even when they chose Kerry as their nominee?

If what they are telling me is true, and they haven't been wrong yet, the race will be Kerry's.

They've been wrong all along. Besides, that will be the time we pull out the home movies of Kerry burning down the Vietnamese village and killing the animals.

I think that they have a gal who says that Bush drove her to an abortion. Ed Gillespie hinted at this during the Dem primaries and said to be watching for it yet nothing happened. They decided to save it for their big guns as an October surprise to disenfranchise the Christian voters, just like the DUI did four years ago. They are going to realize the info the weekend before the election so that there is no time to check out her story.

However, this time the Christians might not become so poll-shy. First, they know the President. Secondly, they have seen him and heard him and know his faith in the face of terrorism. Thirdly, gay marriage is on the ballot and their issue. They won't stay home so that the gays can have their way.
