And if they actually do influence the election outcome in ANY state?
To: CWOJackson
My point exactly, they won't have ANY influence.

They succeeded in electing a liberal Senator in Washington state last election. The LP had a full court press on against the encumbant Republican; instead on putting their effort into local and state races they put it all into playing spoiler.

However, when he lumps Kerry with leftists like Clinton & Clinton, I must protest. Kerry is WAY left of anyone who ever was born in Arkansas. Kerry is a globalist in the sense that the Clintons could never approach. They are, as Ayn Rand would have it, pikers. People like Kerry are far, far more dangerous. You would be, perhaps correct if you were describing only BJ, but remember, Herself was not an Arkansas native, but a Chicagoan, and no bumpkin. She is every bit as dangerous as Kerry, for the same reasons...

Farah's bit late on the bandwagon, but I'm glad he finally made the jump.

I am a lurker here.. I am a libertarian too like some in this thread. I was going to go Badnarik but I realized Bush did enough things I liked that I was going to vote for him. Namely the estate tax, and the marriage penalty.. removing those were the big things for me.
And as you guys know the presidency is so powerful at the moment, it doesn't seem like a good idea to throw away your vote to send a message.. when there is a lot of difference between Bush and Hanoi Kerry.
I still do plan to vote libertarian in local elections and state where the republican hasn't worked to limit the size of government though.

I heard all this 4 years ago. I don't agree with you nor am I going to change your mind. So, Let just leave it at that. Perhaps someday we'll agree on something....I hope not.
Agreed. With 20/20 hindsight this seems almost prophetic....no?
What is the Bloody Point?
Best regards,

I believe, my friends, we are in a Cold Civil War with the Democrat party, which is now run by its lunatic, far-Left fringe. Affirmative on that. There's an old Russian proverb that the good Lord puts each of us on beautiful Earth at a certain time and in a certain place to do His work. Probably most do not carry out this duty or are unable to do so because of circumstances. But for those of us who have been made free - because of the sacrifices of others - and able to do so, it is our task to struggle against manifest evil. The sinner can be forgiven - but not the sin.

Too bad that some self-avowed conservative-jihadics feel it necessary to make unfounded & ridiculous claims about libertarians. Fortunately for GW, and the rest of us, they'll give the hateful little twits all the attention and consideration they deserve.

How did you get this letter if nobody else has it and it's not posted anywhere? And what font is it written in?

Let me fix that for you.
That's gonna be a kick in the nuts to a lot of liberals FReepers who think that the libertarian party is with them a punnish name for liberals.

The American electorate is not yet psychologically prepared for a completely libertarian society. A transition to such a society takes time and effort, and involves altering the mind-set of most Americans, who labor under a plethora of economic fallacies and political misconceptions. It will involve a near-total restructuring of the educational system, which today serves the liberal-left education bureaucracy and Democratic Party, not the student or parent. It will require a merciless and continuous expose of the bias in the mainstream media (the Internet, blogs, and talk radio have been extremely successful in this regard over the past few years). And it will require understanding the influence and importance of the Teresa Kerry-like Foundations who work in the shadows to undermine our constitutional system of checks and balances. Most of all, it will require the American people -- including many libertarians to realize the overwhelming dangerousness of the American Left a Fifth Column comprised of the elements mentioned above, dedicated to achieving their goal of a totally internationally dominated America, and a true world-wide Fascism.
A refreshing analysis from a man from a time past - back when the Libertarian Party made sense and was pragmatic instead of purist.

Have we already seen Losertarian, Liberaltarian, Liberdopian, and Libertine on this thread? Those are so clever. I can't get enough of them.
