why?
Local news said the farmworkers who found her said that the body was severely burned...but that the sheriff's office had not commented on the state of the body other than to say that the body would be id'd by dental records.
Who knows.
Graduated in 1970...dated lovely Shafter boys way back when!
:)
Shafter used to have a cute little airport, if I'm not mistaken. Good old oilpatch area.
With great air shows!
I was living in Pleasant Hill, and doing some of my shopping at the Berkeley Coop. They had 'Viva La Raza" & "Support the Boycott" signs all over inside & outside. Since they wouldn't carry the boycotted grapes, I made it a point to stop at a store that did, and buy them anyway.
"Shafter Boys"... hmmm...
You ladies sure got sidetracked on that name. Remember that when you catch us men talking about women's butts. ;)
Just a puppy!

I've always liked the differences! I've never complained!

Golly, I lived there during part my childhood, 1960 - 1965. Lots of illegals, and we lived in the poor area of town. I was one of only a handful of Anglos in my elementary school, lots of discrimination against us, it wasn't easy. This is why I have a hard time when people assume only white folks can be racists.
Freemont...
My parents live in Tulare County too!
I believe Delano is in Georgia.
It is the town where all of Stuart Woods' characters come from.
Where at? My mom is in Tulare proper. We're probabaly cousins!
This is why we're going in 2-3 person buddy system get out the vote this weekend. I've already encountered a tall creepy man who stuck his face two inches from my face and gave me the creepiest feral grin, not once but twice to intimidate me. I just grin back at him. Then we were followed into a restaurant by two other creeps monitoring us. Always saw this sort of thing on TV but never imagined I would actually experience commiesque tactics. Charming people, those commie liberals (not)

Delano?
The only thing notable about Delano is it houses a state prison.
That's it, I couldn't remember the name...its been so many years. The best teacher I ever had was at that school.
