May God be merciful and lift Maggie Bermudez up to the Light of His countenance, and may perpetual Light shine upon her.

Someone else said CA since it said near Bakersfield, unless one of those in GA, but thanks.

Body found in Delano orchard identified as political worker

Associated Press

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County coroner's office on Tuesday identified a body found in a Delano orchard as that of a political worker.

The body of 21-year-old Magdalia Bermudez was identified through dental records, officials said. She was discovered Friday - four days after being reported missing.

Delano police detective Sam Castaneda said the death has been ruled a homicide. The cause of death was withheld

Sad, and scary. Going door-to-door is an extremely dangerous venture for young women in this day and age.

May this poor girl rest in peace.

What scum. May they catch the guy or woman who did this and make sure he never takes a breath of fresh air from this planet ever again.

Center of the Universe bump.... Fond memories of Delano, finding ways to avoid it on the way to the Pismo, or traveling around the valley. I remember one football game that took shots at our bus... yes, Delano... as an American town as Earlimart, or Popular, or even- Strathmore.

There is nothing wrong with Tulare County. We are number 1 in just about everything that is considered a crime or mortal sin.

Time to raise this death to martyrdom to get out the vote

NO! An emphatic NO!. Death isn't political, it's personal. I despise Kerry with every bone in my body, but I refuse to drag the death of another into the political arena. Let her sole rest in peace, not as a macabre issue to get our President reelected.

(That said, *IF* she was killed for her ideology, all bets are off and we should let the hounds go.)

*sigh* So my mother crabs to me everytime I talk to her. "My car insurance/homeowners in surance is x times as high as it was in Santa Maria."

Shake hands with my cousins who work at the Pen in Corcaran.

I've already encountered a tall creepy man who stuck his face two inches from my face and gave me the creepiest feral grin, not once but twice to intimidate me. I just grin back at him.

Whoaah, you FReeped Kerry.
