Watching on CSPAN...........
Everyone looks cold.
Kerry's voice just broke into a high pitched squeak!
Small crowd.
Only some enthusiasm.
What a sorriful letdown after Bruce.
To: CROSSHIGHWAYMAN
Temperature is mild -- 50s. I felt sorry for Bruce as well.

I took my daughter to the Des Moines rally today. It was great, lots of people braved the truly crappy weather. The electricity was there, and President Bush seemed as enthusiastic as day 1.

For the size of Cleveland, the rally is extremely disappointing. Scheduling conflict. The Kerry people were out in Toledo throwing eggs at delegates to the Fifth Third meeting of the International European Economic Union.
But Ohio is breaking for Bush, right? It's Bush all the way tomorrow, right? It's happening, right? I'm counting on it! I'm already practicing not gloating - you know, save the marriage and stuff.

I saw the President a couple of weeks ago in Chanhassen, MN. 17,000 people attended. I'll never forget the experience, just incredible.
BTW, how's Sioux City doing these days?
I lived there back in '84 when I worked for KCAU-TV. I have fond memories of the place. My co-workers and I frequented the Coney Island (Old Milwaukee?) place downtown a lot. Great hot dogs and it was about all I could afford at the time. (<:

I'm so sick of that LL Bean jacket he keeps wearing. It must have polled well.
Bingo! I thought I was the only one nauseated by the jacket! come to think of it, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing Kerry. Hey wait, I almost missed the brilliance of your comment "it must have polled well." LOL!!!
To: listenhillary

You are correct. The information is also on foxnews.com.
GOP is allowed to have pollwatchers to challenge voters.

DU observations (no funny quotes, just sick)
They are going to attack the mainsteam media after Kerry wins.
Making fun of the FR thread where the posters son may have died in service, but is going to vote anyway.

Do you know if Bruce ever visited the troops to give a concert?

DU -- "I would not be surprised if still more are packing the streets beyond the park. Hard to tell though."
LOL. The streets are EMPTY. There are so few people there that they don't need cops to block the roads.

Did everyone just hear what Kerry said?
He said one of Springsteen's kids asked him about the environment. Kerry said something to the effect that it was the toughest questioning he has gotten yet (he actually cut himself off near the end).
And I think to myself, isn't that the truth?

I drove right by the rally place -- I didn't even have one car to wait for through traffic. LOL. It was like a Sunday.
