Any word on General Francisco Franco? Who is this guy? Every Arafat thread I've seen today has at least one post in it with a reference to him.

Back in I am going to guess the late 70s maybe very early 80s he was the ruler and most powerful man in Spain. Every week for months after he died on SNL during the news report they would announce Fransico Franco is still dead. Maybe it doesn't sound funny now but it sure was funny then.
