...republicans did not turn into fascists like the left has with Bush...

No, but there was some pretty hot rhetoric. And an impeachment. I hope we learn from watching the dems, that this isn't terribly productive unless you have a candidate with ideas.

I for one want the Dems to keep up the whining, name-calling and distortion as long as possible.

As long as there are the O'Donnells, Pelosis, and the people that want to secede, the Dem party will be going backwards. All the better for us.

I want Larry on Scarborough as often as possible so that regular people can use him as a spokesman for the Dems.

O'Denial is just like a whole bunch of leftist sore losers talking about secession. Does one think that any major business area, such as Wall St. or the Loop, is going to want to do that. This just exposes the left for the treasonous America haters they are.

Exactly! I grew up in Southwest Missorui, where we had to support the government money sponges in downtown Kansas City and St. Louis (Moscow on the Mississippi). Now, in Kansas, there's a large part of Wichita, and Kansas City, KS which are government money areas.

Looking at the election map, you'll see that:

in MO, Kansas City and St. Louis voted for Kerry.

In Kansas, Sedwick country (Wichita) went Bush, but

Douglas (Lawrence, University of Kansas and their liberal professors) and Wyandotte (Kansas City) went Kerry.

So they may be red states, but the blue counties are where the "gubbmint cheese" goes.

On the plus side for Little Larry, he'll be the first to know if he develops polyps in his colon, having a bird's eye view of the situation and all...

O'Donnell exemplifies the same mentality as Mr. Veal who killed himself. Veal chose 00 Buckshot. O'Donnell recommends secession. They both are having temper tantrums. They refuse to look at themselves as the problem. These types are lost causes for coopting a moral position. They have not the love of the truth in them. Starting in Little Rock, they recognize they are in Little Rock, and they want to go to Washington,D.C., so they all get together and determine to head West and their arrival will be imminent. Completely out of touch.

Not only do we have the guns but we also have:

First activation of the "Secession Talk" Ping list!

We mentioned the Laurence O'Donnell secession remarks in our discussion the other day, but I thought you all would be interested in reading other comments.

(Anyone who would like to be added or removed from this ping list, please so indicate)

Laura Ingraham played portions of his tirade on MSNBC, on her radio show. I heard it on the commute to work. It's surprising to me that he still has a job. His diatribe was so unprofessional.

I have mixed thoughts on whether the votes on homsexual marriage turned the tide. I will say that I found it humorous the first time I heard the left loft that premise. It was obvious that the democrats wanted to dismiss the fact that many Americans find their stances on issues to be absolutely revolting. The homosexual issue, is not the only such issue by any means.

Let's consider a factor that isn't talked about very much. Democrats go out and register as many new people as they can. They harang people until they register. Then on election day, those folks don't vote. This has happened election after election, for decades, and they still haven't figure it out. If you don't have good values, folks won't go out of their way to vote for them.

Republicans seem motivated to register themselves. They sense it to be a civic duty and seek out ways to register and vote. These people show up at the polls.

Did the homosexual issue spark conservative turnout? It may a little, but I doubt it was the deciding factor. Republican turnout was heavy in all states, not just the 11 with the homosexual measures on their ballots.

IMO, this claim was diversionary. The leadership has to spin the loss some way. Demonizing conservatives for their stance on homosexual marriage was a given.

When these folks talk about burying the hatchet, coming together as one, and working together, they still picture A.N.S.W.E.R.'s talking points in the back of their mind. If only they can get the republicans to feel sorry for them and moderate their tone, who needs to win. I hope we don't fall for that B.S.

Conservatism, nationaly loyalty, love of the military, actual support for the military, restrained spending and soverign matters sell. We should do more to explain our positions on these issues, follow through with conservative measures and reap the harvest of votes these tactics will generate.

Let the left stew in their soup of lies. It suits them.

Why did they have Silly Larry on the show? The man is mentally unstable. Was it to get ratings, with people betting when he would break down again?

I think it has to do with the media being 80% leftist, Clinton was just as radical a leftist as Bush is a conservative. Rush pointed out that even though Clinton sold himself as a centrist his first major issue as president was gays in the military and that Hillarycare was an extreme leftist idea. So it comes down to perception and we all know the media can control that.

From all indications, their "Turn out the vote" effort did get voters to the polls....they just weren't supporters of Kerry.
