For what it's worth ... http://www.jsonline.com/enter/tvradio/nov04/273783.asp
Does anyone know if people are gathering in support
of Belling?
Thanks.
The Potowatomis could step in on WNOV, but why? The casino survives on 'free cashflow' in the pockets of its patrons, which is why it buys ads where it does.
On the other hand, it's only $32K that McGee needs, and if he will cooperate with the P'wami in trying to stop the Kenosha casino, what the h(*&..spend the money.
Yes.
Yes.
Plus, McGee is a racist who has repeatedly made references to white people as "whitey," "honky" and "cracker," plus making anti-Semitic slurs. But the liberal brownshirts who are after Belling wouldn't dare go after McGee since he agrees with them on all the issues. Much like the NOW Gang and the rest of the Feminazis who defended Bill Clinton against allegations of sexual harassment and rape because he was "politically correct" on the abortion issue.
Yes ... 10:00 Saturday morning (Nov. 13th) at the WISN studios (116th and Howard in Greenfield) .. a rally to show support for Mark ... make signs if you can but come out and show your support for Mark.
This is from his weekly article:
I would like to end this column on a personal note. I have been informed by Conley Media and the editors of this paper that this column will continue to appear in its regular spot each week. They have refused to bow to demands that I be replaced. The same message has been given to me by the Conley folks who publish a weekly paper in which I write a separate column and by Hometown Publications, a chain that also carries the other column.I appreciate this support deeply, particularly as it comes at a time in which individuals who want to silence my voice are applying an enormous amount of heat. If those of us with a rightist perspective are gagged every time we err, the only media left will be, well, the Journal Sentinel. Thanks for the support.
Check out the case of Bob Lonsberry, of WHAM in Rochester, NY, a Clear Channel station. He got booted last year for a perceived racial slur (compared the black mayor to a certain zoo animal during a comic riff). 1/3 of WHAM's listeners left, along with Lonsberry's sponsors. You can find the details at lonsberry.com. Click on Bob's past articles at the bottom of today's article.
JSOnline tells us that the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has agreed with WISN's proposed fix-it scheme. Insofar as they are adults, they've decided to drop it....
But the children at UW-M (on the faculty, of course) and at UW-W (sandbox college) can't drop it. They will continue, until it gets really cold outside.
Then their mommies might make them stay in...
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Very interesting, and very revealing of the PC attitude of Clear Channel.
What Lonsberry said was arguably milder than the Belling comment. Lonsberry joked, in response to a comment that there was an oranutang running loose at the zoo, that "yeah, and he's running for county executive." It turned out that the guy running for county executive was black.
Belling, as we know, used the term "wetback" to describe illegal voters.
Which is worse? In the PC world of Clear Channel, I would have to say Belling's remark was worse.
At first blush, this does not bode well for Belling's future. But Lonsberry was eventually hired back, so maybe Clear Channel learned its lesson.
For an article summarizing the Lonsberry case, readers can see http://www.rochestertoday.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=CECFBA62-5128-401E-A0C6-B6DE38329BAA
Thanks again for the info.
I wonder if that means I can no longer refer to dumbass liberals as "mindless chimpanzees." I mean .. it is offensive ... to the chimpanzee.
