Yes, there are many very decent and spiritual Christians in Ethiopia it seems. There was a very revealing episode of "Ends of the Earth" a couple of weeks ago that was a real eye-opener about this country (highly recommended).

Some drunk black guy rear ended my car bigtime in a questionable neighborhood in San Fran. Immediately a bunch of big black guys with dreadlocks raced out from a nearby building. I was terrified! But they just wanted to be sure I was OK, to give the police the license plate number and description of the culprit. They were absolutely wonderful guys.

As for Ethiopia's monument, why the heck should they care at this late date? Monuments have been dragged from one country to another for millenia. It's rather silly to take it personally.

This is PC speak. The correct term is Ethiopia cannot use the port because muslims control it and everyone knows muslims will not allow unbelievers to use a body of water that they can control.

indeed -- the rulers are supposed to have been descended fro King Solomon and Queen Sheba. They are also among the oldest Churchs -- an Ethiopian was the first gentile converted -- so even before there were GReek or Roman Christians, there was an Ethiopian Christian

Ethiopia has been battlingIslam since the 8th century -- I kinda think they know how to handle themselves. Of course it doesn't help when we support the Eritreans against them.

True -- if one is dispassionate, but these people would consider it worth more than food to have that back. It's something we in the West have forgotten -- of a time when we would have gone years to fight the SAracens and rescue the Holy Land, caring not if we lived or died as long as we did so for God.
