No not items to idolize.
More to represent.
The Golden arches represent Fast cheap and unhealthy foods that some love to indulge in but they don't idolize the arches themselves.
Bingo. I had the same thought. The DUers and their leftist ilk can't deface and steal campaign signs anymore, so they take their petty rage out on symbols of Christianity and anything else that remind them of the values they hate.
I am tempted to pity them more than anything else. Their lives must be so bleak and joyless.
I essentially agree.
Certainly only God knows for certain those who've crossed over the line of no return.
In terms of Warnke, I was saddened of his having to undergo a later repentance . . . that all the satanist stuff was a hoax. He was forced into it as researchers dug into his past and verified with many people who knew Warnkey that he was not into such stuff. There's a reality to the stuff depicted in his book. He was evidently lying about it in terms of his own involvement.
Taylor University - Our Promise
=====
Our Promise
Taylor: It's an academic community. An intentional, Christ-centered community. And, most distinctively, a covenant community: one in which people literally "come together" in commitment to each other.
What makes Taylor Taylor is, overwhelmingly, its sense of living together in covenant; of bonding together, building one another up, and living out God's call in community. We focus on intentional relationships.
The word covenant comes from the French verb covenir, which means, literally, "to come together." All through the Bible, God covenants with His people, tendering offers of relationship again and again. God's great desire is to come together with His chosen; in the New Testament, Jesus fulfills this desire in his embodiment of the new covenant. A covenant relationship is both dynamic and committed. The letter is present to act as a guide, but the spirit offers freedom within the covenant's parameters.
God has really used Taylor to change me from the inside out, to give me confidence in my faith and in my leadership, and to give me a good education. -student
I'm sure it's miserable, but they don't know it. They think it's indigestion.
EVIL!

God don't want and the Devil's afraid of.
I think vandals have been trashing nativity scenes and just about everything else that's laying out on the village green since there have been things laying out on the village green.
How many inflatable Santas and Snowmen get through the season un-punctured? Around here, not too many.
I'd like to know where the Justice Department investigation is on this anti-Christian wave of hate crimes. Where is the call for new legislation? Where is the outrage? Or have we simply become complacent in the face of such assaults on the sacred?
I think we should watch DU a lot closer than we already have been. It's quite obvious that they're dangerous.
That has already become a problem in Indiana. There have been a number of rural churches burned in Indiana over the last few years. And just for the record none of them were black churches, Bill Clinton's memeories not withstanding.
Had to take a shower after visiting at DU.
If a Freeper posts on here what they're saying over there, I will read it, otherwise.....I don't go there. (Me eyes can't stand seeing the words they use at DU.)
I've wondered that myself.

Never knew that, my son listens to all kinds of comedy and back then he had all of Warnke's stuff.
Now it's Mark Lowry comedy and music over and over, finally broke it up with a Williams and Ree (Indian and a white man comedy duo) CD last night.
BTW I am looking to buy him The Bible on CD our twenty year old cassettes are old and worn out plus the van is CD only now.
He likes the kind that are more like a drama with charactor voices, wind sounds ect.... any ideas?
Nothing new here. Happens every year. Kids will be kids. One guy (don't have a link) even returned the baby Jesus he took from one Nativity scene. This has been happening every year and is indicative of nothing more than the prevalance of teenage immaturity.
Well said!
Sadly, it's beginning to feel like most won't wake up.
But, God always has a remnant. And, WE SHALL OVERCOME BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY!
PRAISE GOD! HE WINS AND CARRIES US ALONG AS WINNERS WITH HIM.
From God's perspective, it's not even a battle--just an illustration.
imho.
Hmmmmm. I'd check BCD or whatever that Christian wholesale sort of discount place is. I think it's available on the web.
I know Charleston Heston did it--I forget which version.
There's several versions available by different actors etc. I'd ask around at a Christian school. They'd probably know the most effective versions.
Sorry I can't be of more help on that score.
