We have done that, it does not work. The students are pushed to the lowest of the low when they will never learn the language of their, now native country.

Many linguists who work on child language acquisition will tell you that children have more capacity to learn language than adults do. They can learn 2-3 languages at the same time. So, there's no need to learn Arabic first
