Understanding liberals:

Some people have such an overwhelming and abiding sense of inferiority and worthlessness that they have to devote their entire lives to proving how intellectually and morally superior they are to everyone else.

In eight years, clinton only appointed ONE cabinet member who wasn't a criminal moron. Robert Rubin. He was a criminal, but not a moron.

There are a few weak sisters in Bush's cabinet--most notably, Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta, the token Democrat.

Clinton appointed a Republican or two, like Defense Secretary Cohen, because they could be bent to his will. Bush has left a Democrat or two in office out of good will. Big mistake.

It's only going to get worse over the next four years. The rhetoric will get much more nasty than the past four years, and questioning of administrative policy and personnel more contrived.

Gawrsh!!

Clintonian under-cabinet members, like Jamie Gorelick (intellectual star of her Radcliffe class), endangered the country by strengthening the wall between the CIA and the FBI.

Gorelick also worked at Fannie Mae, where she picked up a big $700,000+ bonus, because cooked books made it look like Fannie Mae was doing well.

Smartie that she is, she skipped out before the cooked-books scandal broke, and went to the law firm which now defends Fannie Mae

Look who's talking! Isn't Andrea Mitchell the one who reported the terrible massacre in a Palestinian town when no such massacre had occurred? Isn't she the news reader whose lie was so blatant that even Don Imus had to remind her of the truth? And she is talking about someone in government not being bright? Andrea Mitchell is the dumbest and laziest of the TV news readers. Worse than Peter Arnet.

Well, Norm Mineta is in the Cabinet and he probably brings the average IQ down quite a bit.

Why would Mitchell be longing for a cabinet filled with "the best and the brightest"? That phrase comes from the Kennedy administration, and the sorry legacy of the "best and the brightest" was the Vietnam debacle and the empowerment of the anti-American leftist mobs of the 60's - all formative events that laid the groundwork for the Clinton debacle. Oh, now I understand...

With Mitchell stating, " "I'm trying to be very diplomatic here, but this isn't exactly the best and the brightest." the first thing that struck me was that this was an opinion that she had picked up from somebody far closer to the Cabinet than she is. In other words, I think she's parroting her husbands views. This can only make him enemies within the Cabinet which, in terms of putting her husband in an awkward position makes Andrea herself not "exactly the best and the brightest."
Liberals just like to show off their smarts, even if it makes them look dumb.

Ms. Mitchell apparently longs for the days when real political stars guided U.S. foreign policy - like Madeleine "The Incompetent" Albright and Sandy "Light Fingers" Berger.

LOL, how in the world could you forget Janet ("don't worry Bill, I'll cover for you")Reno?

Interesting that whenever these "objective" reporters get a chance to pontificate they all turn out to be hard-core leftist, sprouting the DNC party line.
