Yes, I went after you mentioned it the other day. It really is heartbreaking. There is a new interview of a very poised young Indian girl, about 13 or so, speaking in English. At the end of the interview, she says something like, "Mama, papa, I am alright. Please come back." Absolutely unbearable.
Oh lord. The depth of the heartbreak is something I hope we never experience here. Just devastating.
Did you see this thread tonight:

But Mrs Svaerd, unlike everyone else in the picture, was running out toward the wave in a desperate bid to reach her family.
Her sons Anton, 14, Filip, 11 and Viktor, 10, could not see the wave. Witnesses heard her scream: "Oh my god, not my children!"
Well,to be honest,Indian military aid & transportation was the first to reach Sri Lanka & the Maldives & Aussie aid reached Indonesia. But none of them come near the heavy duty capability of the USN.
A lot of Arab/Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia,Qatar,Kuwait,Iran,Egypt etc have promised or delivered money & relief supplies.
No doubt! Their "public persona" demands at least that...
But I would bet the family farm that their "charity" and "presence" will pale in comparison to the nations of the world's other religions that many of the "Peace Loving Muslims have declared as their enemy.
If Saudi Arabia is to be respected as the true "torch carrier" of the "True Religion" -- they should be at the front of the line with their Oil Money ----- and they CLEARLY have chosen to abandon that role to the "Infidels"..

oh radiohead!!!
I have seen that clip over and over on CNNi and that dear child is so bright and it just breaks my heart when she starts to break down calling for her mommy and poppa that she is fine, but for them to please come and find her. She knows in her heart that they may never come when she says it and that is when her tears begin, but she still has hope. You feel her pain and her hope.
I tear up everytime I see it. I pray that she has found her parents and that they are alive.
