Me too. I hope he's a good guy.
Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something...BLUE?
Didn't she sell Lewinsky down the river?
Linda Tripp is a beautiful lady who was brutalized by the mainstream media. This is a good catch for Dieter.
Perhaps, but she also possibly saved her life when she advised her to keep the dress in its unlaundered state.
OHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO! LoL!
And Tripp will have to watch her back for the rest of her days.
That was Monica's mother who made that call.
Were/are they so 'busy building a business' or 'working' that the grave matters of their own nation had little or no effect on their lives?
As I age, I've come to be more accepting of the fact that there are people that just aren't interested ... I've also become more intolerant of them.
Congratulations Linda, we really wish you all the happiness in the world! Thanks for all you have done for this country and please never be sorry, you did the right thing.
Her advice to Ms. Lewinsky to save that dress saved Monica from being called a liar and worse. It may have saved her life. She could not save Monica from being what she was, however.
I am right in thinking she pretended to be her friend, lied to her then told all to the authorities that be?
Sounds like a great person.
I would have to wonder whether or not Lewinsky would have survived if a few things had happened differently. It is apparently not safe to be the only one knowing things about the Clintons.
They were friends. Lewinsky called Tripp and talked for hours about her affair with the President of the United States on a daily basis. Reportedly, she shared her little secret with numerous other people as well. This story was going to get if it was the last thing Monica ever did. One day, Tripp finds a copy of the Clinton Body Count on her office chair. I'd have gone to the authorities as well.
She taped her friend right?
That does not sound very caring.
Linda Tripp was going to be put in the position of having to perjure herself. The Paula Jones case was about to go to depositions. Monica had learned from Bill Clinton her name was on the witness list and she was panicked. Monica was positive the former intern (can't recall her name) now a Starbucks manager in Georgetown, was a Clinton hit. There was also the lady, who worked at the desk next to John Huang at Commerce, who died over a Thanksgiving weekend under extraordinary circumstances. Linda also knew what she was dealing with in the Clinton administration because she worked one of the desks in Vince Foster's outer office. She was there the day he left and didn't return.
She taped the conversations with Monica to have proof in case it came to that. The Clinton bunch were very good at calling people liars, using the media to intimidate, and using private investigators to threaten and intimidate. Ask Katherine Willey.
Linda had already had to testify before Congress in the investigation following Vince Foster's death. She was there to watch the strange way in which the White House handled his office immediately after the report of his death, and the investigation.
It had to concern her to suddenly realize she was again caught up in the Clinton's private business.
You may not recall the Clintons have an unsavory reputation concerning people who get in their way or cross them.
Taping Lewinsky was just good insurance.
I believe the former intern was Mary Mahoney.
So we have gone from her being Lewinsky's friend by helping her to confess to just covering her bases then.
I've always wondered why Tripp was made the Bad Guy in all of this. She wasn't the one snapping her Thong for the President and giving BJ's under the Desk in the Oval Office. She listened to Monica blather on and on about her affair with the President and finally, when she couldn't stand how STUPID this young girl was, she started to tell her that she was being used. Yes, she did tape those conversations eventually. Yes, she did betray the confidence eventually. BUT...would it have been better to let Clinton get away with this? Would it have been better to let Hillary handle Monica in her own way? I don't think so. I think Linda did the right thing. I also think she was treated terribly both by the White House and the Press. She was not the guilty person in all of this. CLINTON and Monica were. I wish Linda all the happiness in the world..she earned it!
