GOP_1900AD has this conspiracy thing against us Orthodox, especially against those of us who converted from another faith, like myself. It's his first question out the gate.

Sorry for being rude, but the only thing Poles want from Russia is to f**k off for at least 100 following years.

Just of curiosity (and absolutely no malice intended): Is the Orthodox Church something different than the "church of Christ" mentioned by you? And - if so, if those are to different churches (like Catholic, Lutheran or Orthodox) - is it possible, that one person is a member of both of them?

Sounds good, but the Poles on this list are attacking Russia every which way possible. They need to back off.

Yes, they are two different groups. The "Restoration Movement" originated separately at the same time in both America and Russia in the early 1800s as a movement to restore Christ's Church as found in the New Testament. The Disciples of Christ and the churches of Christ were the two groups, which together made up the Restoration Movement. The movement was one of the larger churches in Russia, however the communists made the group merge into the Missionary Baptist Alliance. In America the group split into three groups now known as the churches of Christ, Christian Church, and the Disciples of Christ.

Nadya attends the church of Christ in America and the ROC in Russia.

Well, you see, I'm a Pole, and probably one of those 3 mentioned by jb6, called "EU trolls", attacking Russia every which way possible (as you've pointed)

You may not agree, but my impression is, that I (we?) react only to some attacks on Poland and Poles, done from totally Russian perspective.

Let me praise your country for the help they have given us in Iraq. I think Poles appreciate freedom, and know you have to fight for it. I spent six years in the army fighting for freedom, and so I too know the value and cost of freedom. Nobody could be happier to see your people free than myself.

That said, there are many aspects to freedom, and I hate to see what the EU trolls and Islamofacists are doing to Russia. They are stereotyping Russia so that they will never be able to overcome their present and previous problems. Indeed, many of the things being said are downright lies or at best shades of the truth. Some of these individuals hold themselves up as Bible authorities and see it as their mission in life to fight the evil Gog and Magog. Their true knowledge of the Bible is pathetic.

What was your previous faith, Bolshevism?

Personally, call it an odd quirk, I tend to suspect a guy who was Mr. Stasi in Dresden and stole Western high tech secrets for a living.

Sorry, but you give Pooti way to much credit. He was in Dresdan and he was a mighty desk jockey, which is what 90% of all intel services are. Very few actually "steal" anything from each other, the rest sit and push paper and reports.

Yeah that's it, you so smart GI, you number 10. And that's about as smart a reply as you deserve.

Funny, for a guy who wants that, you sure do seem to put your nose into everything the Russians do. Oh, it's that hypocracy thing, I get it.

TTS, you (as informed person) should know, that Marx himself was a Jew, as well as Lenin was half-Jewish (by his mother).

You are trying to link Communism and anti-semitism. Well, in fact Communists respect no nationalities, so they are as much anti-Jewish as anti-American, anti-French, or anti-whatever.

Linking Communism to any nationality IMHO is racist and abusive, not to say - unjust.

Oh, you really do, that's something really surprising.

"TTS, you (as informed person) should know, that Marx himself was a Jew, as well as Lenin was half-Jewish (by his mother)."

Marx was a self-hating Jew, and an enemy of all religion...but he was a particular enemy of monotheism. The Jews, therefore, being the first monotheists that virtually all other monotheistic religions sprang from, topped Marx's list of enemies. That's why he devoted an entire book against them ("A World Without Jews")--TTS

The Bolshevik strain of Totalitarianism, under Stalin, become very anti Semitic. I suggest that you read Hannah Arendt's "The Origins of Totalitarianism" the best book ever written on the subject of totalitarianism, and learn more about it.
