And Israel knows that also...In my view, whatever is going to happen will happen within the next 4 years...
4 years? Why do you think it will wait four years?
I think it should have happened last year. Or ten years ago, we should have cleaned house then.
Peres has a newly made-up position with little or no power. He doesn't decide; Prime Minister Sharon does. If you had a successful constructive vote of no confidence (unlikely) you then run the risk that Labor could win an election. I much prefer Likud and Sharon.
OK. This means the world body that should take up this matter is the U.N. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
LOL. Nice one, DS...
Thanks.
God be with Jerusalem! and the Children of Promise.
"Iran is the problem of the Middle East," Peres said.
That's part of the building of international support for regime change in Iran. My guess is, the regime change will come about because of Iranian opponents of the current mullahcracy finally gaining the international (US) support and recognition.
But yeah, Peres can't be trusted with a burned out match. And he wants to be PM.
Syria and Egypt (and most other not-too-neighborly neighbors of Israel) are preparing for another war against Israel. I fear that, as in 1973, the warning signs will be ignored by the alleged military intelligence people in Israel.
Israel has approved the moving of Egyptian troops and weapons up to the border. Syria continues its war by proxy, as does Egypt, through the Gaza terrorists. Iran and Syria (at least) have derivative missile programs, and Iran (at least) has an atomic bomb program.
The intifada reached a blank wall, literally and figuratively, with the construction of the Fence. That was a necessary step for Israel, but was the final impetus to produce this new, covert effort to resume conventional war.
The punishment to Egypt for breaking the treaty must be much more severe this time. Loss of the Sinai, obviously, but the Aswan Dam should be destroyed as well, and Israel should cross "into Africa" and take over the Suez Canal.
Syria should just be erased, along with Hezbollah, and its southernmost territory annexed (to control the water supply for Jordan; Israel agreed in 1994 to make up for water shortfalls in Jordan, and those water shortfalls were created by Syria).
Israel should let the US take care of the Iranian mullahcracy, and let al-Qaeda beat on the Saudi regime.
And the "West Bank" should then be annexed. If the Arab population of that area wants to stay, fine, otherwise, out they go, either to Gaza (which can become "Palestine", but more to the point, will remain isolated) or to Jordan.
