Hey, I guess you're right. Now that we've taken control of the Kuwaiti and Iraqi oilfields there'll be no stopping us...oh, wait a minute. We gave those oilfields back to the Kuwaitis and the Iraqis, didn't we?

Well?

There seems to be a lemming like proclivity on the part of the "dead-end" left in their wish to immolate themselves in a futile kamikaze attack against the march of reality. Linda McQuaig is just such a lemming. There seems also to be a kind of romantic aura around the particular failure and impossible expectations the left brings upon itself, as their foolishness inevitably catches up with them. Oh, the glory of what never was and never could be! We conservatives call it by it's real name, mental illness.

No, I'm not. Are you holding that physical control of the oilfields and the freedom to sell their products to anyone the holders care to is somehow a corporate plot? Please.

Let's make an agreement - I tell you what I think, you tell me what you think. You telling me what I think doesn't relly work very well.

The answer to your question is no, at least not directly.

If American foreign policy is driven by oil, why is the US pro-Israel?

I haven't found a lefty that can answer that. All I get are blank stares.

"Cheney said we'd be greeted as liberators."

We were greeted as liberators. I watched the statue of Saddam being toppled live as it happened and the people were definitely greeting our troops as liberators.

I heard that that "secret" pipeline also goes through Kuwait because didn't we secretely occupy that country and steal all their oil after the first gulf war?
