dirt....The lady DID in fact appear with Dean at at least one campaign fling with him. If she does not want to be public news, stay out of the publics face.

Hey, compared to Teeereeeza and the Hildabeast she is quite attractive. And doctors who will not go on the record denying to have performed abortions probably have.So every doctor who has denied performing an abortion probably has? Think through that one a moment, do a Google search on the fallacy of proving a negative, and get back to me.

I think families should be left out of these things.
I agree in this case, and not many others.
Mrs. Dean seems like a nice lady and has earned our respect.
However, the spouses who become political are fair game. In addition, misbehaving offspring are also fair game imho. (I believe the Deans have one of those.)
As for the family dog, reasonable people can disagree. :-)

dirt....The lady DID in fact appear with Dean at at least one campaign fling with him. If she does not want to be public news, stay out of the publics face. That was during the primary campaign, and apparently she didn't want to do it, which anyone could tell watching her on 60 Minutes. She hasn't been part of politics since. We should leave her alone without a good reason otherwise.

In this case, I wonder if there are any cockles getting warmed.

Yeah sure, Democrat politician's family values are so much worse than Republican politician's family values.
To: wagglebee
I think this is the best thing that could happen to Mrs. Dean and I wish her well.

But, once again, that could apply to every doctor in the country who denies having performed an abortion. And we just saw a sordid example of extrapolation against Jeff Gannon - because he set up some gay-sounding web domains years ago while working for someone else, by the end of the day the NY Daily News said he had ties to gay prostitution.
I'm not gonna go there. Plentiful political material spills from Howard Dean's mouth. We don't need to demand that his wife prove a negative for more.
Now if it can positively be proved that he or she has performed abortions, I'll listen.
