As long as Kennedy lives in Massachutsetts, he gets a free pass, even if the GOP does field a candidate.
I can't even understand why Kennedy would be worried -- unless he thinks campaigning would cut into his drinking time.

Didn't he already do that? LOL

I sense a change in Ted Kennedy that is more than disturbing. He has a crackerjack staff that serves his
constituents well. He is aging poorly and seems to be in
pain while walking. His back appears to be problematic. He seems to be more ill tempered and nasty as the months pass.
He is also having problems reading what his staffers place before him when he speaks in public. He ought to retire and allow someone else to represent Massachusetts. Like so many other elderly politicians he will stay too long and be remembered for his mumbling rants.

I sense a change in Ted Kennedy that is more than disturbing. Given his health and political affiliation, I'm guessing impotence in more ways than one. Kind of a living death for a Kennedy...and appropriate.

Teddy Kennedy is the poster child for why term limits are essential for good government. He will likely die in ofice, after having been there all his adult (sic) life.

A broken-down Teddy Kennedy is good for the Republican Party.
It further tarnishes the Kennedy mystique and leaves the liberal state of Massachusetts without effective representation in the Senate.
If the Pubbies want to make a serious run at him that is fine, but with the most biased media in America and the heaviest Democratic registration (outside of Rhode Island) it does seem like a waste of resources.

No one asks the big question. How is it that two of the worst Catholics in the Nation get elected in a State that is over 50% Catholic? If the Catholic Church has problems, think sex scandals, Boston is in the thick of things.

While it is true that there is a hard core minority that hates Kennedy the way a normal non-New Englander would, the vast majority adores him, especially in Boston. Most are completely unaware of how he is regarded outside of this region -- in fact they seem to have the attitude of being blessed to have such a man represent them, and don't you feel fortunate that now you can call him your Senator? His drunken rants only endear him more to his constitutents. It is a political Twilight Zone, defying reason and rejecting reality.

Teddy may not be around in 2006.
I'm surprised he's still kicking.

Boy it would be nice to knock old teddy out of the picture . 73 , it will not be long.Don't hold your breath. With the volumes of booze Teddy has consumed, his body is pretty well preserved in alcohol and he just might last past 100 ;-)

Ted Kennedy is a fat slob who is apt to croak from heart failure or liver problems before long.
