The Senate minority leader, Dingy Harry Reid, called Mr. Bolton's nomination "a disappointing choice and one that sends all the wrong signals." The wrong signals to whom? Sends all the right signals to the bad guys. This is the point, folks. "But he is too big a critic of the UN, Rush, we just can't put somebody in there that is a big critic of the UN!" That's exactly who we need to put in there: Somebody who is going to just not bend over forwards and backwards because it's the UN doing whatever it's doing. This is somebody that's hell-bent on holding the United Nations accountable, and he's not afraid of anything. This is potentially a great nomination. Dingy Harry said, "At a time when President Bush has recognized we need to begin repairing our damaged relations with the rest of the world, he nominates someone with a long history whose opposed to working cooperatively with other nations." We don't need to repair relations with the UN, we need to SEVER relations with the UN!

Forget about Girlie Man Reid. Ole Jean Kirkpatrick was, and is, a tough old bird - IMO Just what the UN needs and what I hope Bolton delivers.

Essentially, Bolton critizes the UN on the grounds that it hasn't been prosecuting enough wars and killing enough people. I think I'd describe him as pro-UN.

Kirkpatrick should have been the first woman to be POTUS.

Reid is "Puff Dashhole lite". He's a wannabe obstructionist except he's too dumb to be believable by anyone but other rat/types. We do need 60 senators and doofs like Dusty Harry will help us get there. If the rats keep objecting to "everything" GW does the people will slowly vote them out. Remember the voters are not all stooopid.

I also liked his lines about knocking 10 floors of the UN and it not making a difference.
The killer is his opposition to just about every UN proposal.
If John Bolton is pro UN, then Senator Jesse Helms worships the ground its on.

Very good appointment Once the circus act from the Dems concludes over the nomination, and the Reps vote him in AS THEY HAD BETTER, The real fun begins. Ashcroft shook up his branch when he came to Washington, Rummy is still shaking up his, Goss is cleaning the CIA, Condi has got state and now Bolton is going to roll up his sleeves and take on the UN. Hard to imagine it getting better.
O.T. Rush also said a few things today that needed to be said. Certainly he has more of an audience than I do. LOL
Reps best chance for success in '08 is to do what WE sent them there to do. And, Hill is not a lock for the nomination. I hope the Reps were Finally paying attention.

We can hope so.
Yet another role model for girls, instead of, oh say, The Olson Twins, or Lindsey Lohan,.
You know, for balance.

Thank you for saying this. I have been thinking this for awhile, but afraid to say it out loud.

We to get out of the UN and send it packing. That's my idea of a response to the useless grass eaters up at Turtle Bay.
