I was not criticizing his coaching. I was simply pointing out that he was not a star player; nothing more, or less.

It's not hard to criticize several of Silas' coaching decisions & methods but firing while in a playoff hunt is too much.

I was surprised by the firing. But Gilbert wants to have his own guy in place, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a "big name" coach for next year. I have tickets to see the Cavs next week. Will be the first Cavs game I have gone to at the Gund, although I saw a lot of games at Richfield in the '80s. The tickets were free, which is really the only way I would have gone to the game. I still haven't forgiven the Cavs for trading Ron Harper for Danny Ferry and two No. 1 picks back in '89!
