Got my first box of cigars in ten years yesterday. Guess I'll be a trend breaker.

"They [kids] know the dangers and they look at people who smoke and say, 'What's wrong with you?' "

I'd also add, "EEEEWWW!"

Actually this isn't true, any young people I know, blow off the libs and their smoking isn't cool mantra. Mainly because to them, the last straw was the gay guy from will and grace, on a commercial, saying "stay up with whats in, smoking is out." Every young person I know said it was enough for them to take up smoking. What this actor and the hollyweird lefties think is cool, obviously, is being gay.

They find it very hypocritical! Also, the young people I know who do smoke, roll their own

22.2 percent to 18.3 percent
22.8 percent to 15.4 percent

Like all good goobermint and NGO goobers, they pull these numbers out of a place that never sees daylight. And it took them a year to find the right 8,000 people to even juggle the numbers.

Everybody knows that 78.165% of all statistics are fabrications... or is it 78.166%? Where's my call list?

"Those exorbitant costs promise to nosedive quickly as the chronic smokers pass and the new aging population is made up of people who either never smoked or quit long years prior."

Yep, because we all know that non-smokers are in perfect health. Right? Without tobacco everyone would live forever!

"Think of it this way: the lawmakers use the smoker's tax dollars to balance their budgets and to keep their pet programs running."

Remember, many states invest their pension funds in tobacco company stocks. The government has the biggest interest in keeping their citizens smoking!

"So I would hope that stats such as those quoted in this story would help convince more bars and restaurants to voluntarily go smoke-free."

Feel free to risk your own capital and open one of these restaurants. You can also make your wishes known to the owners of the establishments you patronize.

Yep! And don't we just love the way they can't talk out of both sides of their mouths with a straight face!
