GWB inherited this mess, and if he had really dealt with it during his first four years, we would have sKerry as POTUS now.
I think the solution is to recruit the Hispanics into the fold of family values vs murder of unborn, personal responsibility vs sitting on the porch, and so on.
Do not see any other solution to this problem besides really stepping up border enforcement.
The cat is out of the bag.
Which slave owners are in authority?
Note to Rep. Cannon
The answer is simple. Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others. As the patriots of seventy-six did to the support of the Declaration of Independence, so to the support of the Constitution and Laws, let every American pledge his life, his property, and his sacred honor;--let every man remember that to violate the law, is to trample on the blood of his father, and to tear the character of his own, and his children's liberty. Let reverence for the laws, be breathed by every American mother, to the lisping babe, that prattles on her lap--let it be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges; let it be written in Primers, spelling books, and in Almanacs;--let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls, and enforced in courts of justice. And, in short, let it become the political religion of the nation; and let the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the grave and the gay, of all sexes and tongues, and colors and conditions, sacrifice unceasingly upon its altars.
While ever a state of feeling, such as this, shall universally, or even, very generally prevail throughout the nation, vain will be every effort, and fruitless every attempt, to subvert our national freedom.
When I so pressingly urge a strict observance of all the laws, let me not be understood as saying there are no bad laws, nor that grievances may not arise, for the redress of which, no legal provisions have been made.--I mean to say no such thing. But I do mean to say, that, although bad laws, if they exist, should be repealed as soon as possible, still while they continue in force, for the sake of example, they should be religiously observed. So also in unprovided cases. If such arise, let proper legal provisions be made for them with the least possible delay; but, till then, let them, if not too intolerable, be borne with.
Signed

Someone needs to run against this guy. If I lived there I'd vote for an alternative in a heartbeat.
The face is made by those that insist that we need ILLEGAL immigration to perform jobs that AMERICANS DO. Your interest in this regard is spotty at best. Not to worry ... there is an entire country on call.
You have NO idea.
I'm staying in the Republican Party and going to a a thorn in the side of my elected officials.
They have to pay attention to me if they want my vote in the primary elections. They call me up wanting my vote because I am a caucus chairman. Then I lay into them.
If you all want the Party to represent conseervative values, you have to get in there and do it. Go ahead, get involved and let the RINO's know you won't tolerate their INaction any more.
Honestly I can't name three conservative issues the Republicans are advancing. (scratching head).
Meanwhile, the worker to retiree ratio has fallen to 3 to 1. Spin that fact.
The Minutemen's actions cause the issue to be brought forward, in spite of the MSM's efforts to play it down. They are growing fast.
California has a proposal on the table to create a new state agency to protect it's border, and the Governor is testing the waters on a strong stand to close the borders.
Nothing to see here... Move along now, just move along.
They're welcome to get an "undocumented" voter to do the voting that this American doesn't want to do anymore.
The solution is at hand. In a few short months, Congress will be enacting immigration reform.
We would be so much smarter to encourage Americans to have more children than to try to assimilate the poorest Mexicans. Our society would be more cohesive. We were all propagandized into limiting our families to two children, and that could certainly change. I am 62 now, but I would rather have had three or four children than have to put up with all these foreigners everywhere I turn. (And, no, I don't mean more welfare).
1. Lower Taxes 2. Privatization of Social Security 3.National sovereignity in mattters of defense
BEN, Ben, the short and the long of "it" is "we" don't "need" you. Don't make it something it ain't. Mexico is emptying entire towns and still whore house Vicente prances around making those ... uh ... statements. He's a public nuiscance ...both sides.
Entire Mexican towns are void due to the venture north.
Do states along the southern border (AZ, NM, TX) support inititiaves? (I already know CA does) What are the chances of something in, say, TX authorizing a state-based border patrol a'la Arnold's suggestion? Maybe his idea deserves to grow :)
I'm sure you have seen the demographic projections. In 15 years there will be no more mexicans available to come to the US. If you think having too many mexicans is a problem, wait until there are not enough.
Well, brother, sounds like YOU even support border enforcement!!! BTW I didn't need one dick dog ILLEGAL to "grow up." I suggest you do the same,
Meanwhile, the worker to retiree ratio has fallen to 3 to 1. Spin that fact.
So, we kick out the illegal aliens and let in more legal immigrants. That'll resolve the problem.
