Trent Lott has just done it...on the Tony Snow show he said he won't take any criticism from the GOP since they threw him overboard!!!!

Call Lott now and tell him we WILL throw him overboard in the next election.

Is it possible everyone is wildly misreading the quote?

When I read it, I thought it just as likely that he meant: "Pubbies, please, don't criticize me for "working with Democrats" - I wouldn't work with them for any reason, Democrats threw me overboard and I feel no obligation to work with them now under any circumstances."

The title of this thread puts "(GOP)" after the pronoun "them" in the quote, but I don't necessarily think that's what he meant. That "them" might just as easily have been referring to the Dems that people are accusing him of "working with".

For the record, I'm not big fan of Lott. This isn't about defending him. This is about accurately interpreting what he actually said, which everyone deserves.

If he were my senator, I would call him and tell him I support him.

Hey, Trent: Take it like a man, you whiny little creep. Jeeze. Between idiots like him and the RINOs, is it any wonder the Dumbs are acting like they're in the majority?

Lott also stated that he won't accept criticism from Republicans for working with Democratic senators because "they're the same ones who threw me overboard. I'm free. I don't have to work with them anymore."

You haven't seen overboard yet, you mincing little pillowbiting fairy.

Lott also stated that he won't accept criticism from Republicans for working with Democratic senators because "they're the same ones who threw me overboard. I'm free. I don't have to work with them anymore." Lott called the Senate a "dysfunctional institution."

You know something', I do believe Ol' Trent has a point. He got sand bagged last time and no one took his side. I do not blame him for been bitter. We Republicans have a tendency of killing our own, just to please the Dem's.

Wanna proof?...just watch the Senate Judiciary Committee on C-Span.

Look at the sorry ass situation in the Senate;
the stinking Republicans don't even know they are in a MAJORITY.
They are still kowtowing to the Democrats for unknown reasons.
The Democrats are out of power lock, stock and barrel and the stupid Republicans in the Senate are still trying to please Reid, Kennedy, Clinton and such.

I am so embarrassed to be a Republican now a days (all this out of control pork barrel social spending), is not even funny. Those spineless assholes can kiss the monthly GOP contribution "goodbye" I am very, very disappointed about W's Domestic policy.Especially about "do nothing' illegal immigration "non" policy.

I do not know what the Republicans on the Hill think, but one thing is for sure...I am voting the sons of bitches out of office, and I WILL make sure we will get the right people's representative in the office.

Do you her me David Dryer?

Lott can make all the deals he wants, he is no longer the leader of the Senate and what he says means diddly, this stunt proves it was a good idea to get rid of him.

This completely summarizes the problem with Lott and the overwhelming majority of the "leadership". These guys are far more interested in what is best for themselves than what is best forthe country. De Toquville once said that one of the flaws of American democracy is that we "are only allowed to choose our leaders from among those who choose themselves". This means we are always dealing with a suspect group.

Shouldn't we treat the RINOS the same way, aren't they the ones who are empowering the DIMS to block almost every plan the President sends to Congress and causing delays on every candidate for positions on the Supreme Court and other important offices.

Both the House of Representatives and the stinking Senate are bloated with do nothings and are impediments to the success of many good pieces of legislation sent to them, in most cases, for the good of this nation?

It would seem a real good purging of both Bodies would be very beneficial!

I'm sick to my stomach with these self serving scumbags, how about others who probably feel the same way?
