Sorry. I've been known to "shoot" from the hip sometimes. I was just "rifling" through my memory for applicable quotes. I guess it was king of a "shotgun" approach to take.

You're right about that!
Heck, my dad taught me that a very long time ago. Every gun is loaded.
The officer was an idiot. He's also very lucky he didn't kill himself or someone else.

LOL! I hate it when my guns accidentally "go off" like this. (In school, around kids, while showing them how safe they are, etc...)

Coleus, I think you said you work in a school system right?
What is a resource officer?
Is this a real police officer or just another looney left created position that gives them unofficial reason to carry guns like in the animal task force situation?

And this "school resource officer" should be given only ONE bullet that he keeps in his breast pocket...just like Deputy Barney Fife. Idiot.

Man, you're reaching into the bottom of the "barrel" for that one. In fact the barrel is sort of a "cylinder" shape.

Sounds like the majority of the illegal discharges
from weapons in public schools the last few years
have been from weapons under law enforcement control?...

OMG that is funny.I'd probably be mad if it happened in my kids school but since no one was hurt we can laugh at the stoopid cop.

Be careful, or you may find yourself in breech [sic] of FR's Terms of Use. And you know how so many FReepers recoil at such behavior.
Really graspin' at straws now...

I wouldn't even give him a water pistol. It seems there are too many positions being created to give the 'loony left' official capacity, ie., armed, arrest powers, and control over others. The scary common denominator seems to be that the main group of them would never pass the psych evaluation of the the real position of law enforcement.

Do they drug test officers after an incident like this? Miller is either stoned or very stupid.
"G'head, try it" ranks right up there with "Hold my beer" and "Watch this" as the phrases most frequently uttered just prior to a incident of "dumbassedness".

The guy sounds like a good natured idiot. That term idiot is often mis-used but this time it should be taken literally.

A "school resource officer", at least here in Florida, is a county sheriff deputy who is assigned as the "resident cop on campus".
Yes, a police officer, the only class of citizen who can do this sort of incredibly idiotic thing and get a month's free paid vacation (aka "administrative leave") instead of ten years of eating jail food (the treatment reserved for us commoners).
Pathetic.
