POS Reid should be censured for the stunt he pulled on the senate floor. How is the jurist supposed to protect himself from this when he can't see the report?
To: STARWISE
why is the fbi handing out people's files?

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid on Thursday, May 12, 2005, offered to help confirm some of President Bush's blocked judicial nominees from Michigan in an attempt to stave off a showdown over filibustering the White House's court appointments. From left, 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals nominees U.S. District Court Judge David McKeague, State Court of Appeals Judge Richard Griffin, Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Henry Saad and Susan Neilson are shown in undated photos. Reid, in his offer, promised that Democrats would not filibuster the nominations of Michigan nominees Griffin, McKeague and Neilson if Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., calls for a vote on them instead of pushing his plan to ban judicial filibusters. Saad, would likely be filibustered by Democrats according to Reid. (AP Photo/Files)

I don't know if it was illegal but I am pretty sure it broke at least a couple Senate rules....those files are restricted to the commitee....

The FBI isn't handing out files. What do you mean? The fact that there IS an FBI file on this judge?

Folks, this is not rocket science. A confidential file would be stored in a facility for which access requires signing in and out. The sign in roster would have the information.
If he signed in, it's illegal. That then becomes not a matter for censure but for indictment. But most probably in a situation like this one does not indict. One, rather, informs Reid he will be indicted during his election campaign unless his leadership of the Democratic minority is exercised only when and how orders are provided to him by Frist.
Time to play hardball.

Of course, these are Democrats, so the rules don't apply. Exactly. They are the arrogant, abusive, all-powerful ones. After all, they own the media and enough of the judiciary to rule in spite of those ignorant voters.

I just wish that a Senate Republican had guts.
Plenty of them do. Plenty of them? Plenty of them????? If so, it should be an absolute cinch for you to name a mere ten Senate Republicans with guts.
Go ahead. Make my day. I dare you to name ten Senate Republicans with guts.

There are only two Democrats in the world that I like. My least favorite Democrats are the ones that call themselves Republicans so they can get elected.

It seems there is never punishment for the democrats. I guess their main one would be the loss of election after election. These things don't sit well with the general public. (I Hope)

This is not sarcasm.
Reid, Dean, Boxer and Pelosi are a God send to the GOP. They are the back-benchers, bomb throwers, who heretofore would never have found themselves anywhere near leadership in the once formidable Dem. party.
What's best, if left to their own devices, they can't help themselves- they will continue to spew inanities and make mistakes- e.g. Bush a loser, Dean for Sanders, Boxer demonizing Condi, Reid leaking FBI data, etc.-
Just pray they keep talking- they're destroying themselves. Wait and see, at least one will ultimately commit a "whopper", that even the MSM will not be able to conceal or defend.

Why is that the Dems always have to be FORCED to be honorable. They can't even be forced to be honorable. It's an alien concept to these power mad, despicable, selfish louts.

The Republicans are doing a terrible job of educating the public as to what is happening (unconstitutional filibuster, character assassinations, etc.)and the harm that is being caused by this Democrat obstructionism.
Just like they failed to inform the public about the fact that Democrat obstructionism in approving GW's cabinet and other posts for ALMOST THE ENTIRE FIRST YEAR of President Bush's first term, which arguably could have prevented action from being taken to prevent the 9-11 attacks.
It was interesting that this fact is nowhere to be found arose in the "exhaustive" 9-11 Commission Report, which seemed to want to focus only on events of the Bush administration.
I am convinced that Democrat obstructionism caused grievous harm then, and threatens to do the same again. We need to stop being civil with these bastards and throw them on the ground, kick them in their heads, and stomp on their backs.
