Or worse, a Christian.
And which law is that?
There is a B-I-G difference between laws and Senate procedure. Don't get them confused.
It is my understanding ...that all nominees for any position requiring consent from the Senate has an investigative file available at a Senate location for Senators to review.....Feinstein said it yesterday...in a press conference....seen on C-SPAN.
She also said she would like to see the Blue slip hold on nominees done away with....that is what boxer is using to hold up bolton!!
She had some caustic comments about the use of the tactic to blackball a single individual....she didn't mention Boxer specifically for her use however,,,,but I think she was aiming the remark at her.
It always amazes me that when Zell Miller goes against his party, he is a hero, a stand up guy, not a traitor...if a Republican disagrees with his party, he is a gutless traitor...I may not like it when Republicans don't vote my way but I have to assume that maybe they are just being independent or doing what their constituents expect of them...but calling someone a traitor is hyperbole unless they are selling our secrets to the enemy (and BTW we may love to hate the Democrats but they are not enemies of the USA IMHO...idiots...yes....but not traitors...I guarantee that many of the NYC firemen and cops who ran into the WTC have voted Democrat at some points in their lives as have many of our soldiers dying in Iraq)
Bouchard, Oakland County.
Helene White.
1. Tom Coburn....
2. George Allen (2nd amendment issue)
3. Norm Coleman (Foreign Policy)
That's about as far as I can go.
TOM Coburn
Sometimes the synapses in my brain misfire; what can I say?
I missed one other misname earlier from another poster. It's not Carl Levin, but Lenin.
Okay, now this is where you pick one or two and continue your emotional outburst - completely ignoring the main point of my message.
I fail to see how someone (such as me) casting a vote for a Democrat at some point in their lives equates to Democrat politicans actively working to defeat America military = which many here, including me, understandably view as treason.
Allow me to clarify though, because what I posted was my transcribing while listening to the show. I believe the sheriff meant that Saad has been evaluated or scrutinized for various levels of the judiciary (state positions I assume) and his record was accepted all three times.
At least that was the gist of what I understood him to be saying. I didn't realize he'd been nominated by Bush 1 though, sheesh!
Yes, thanks. It was Oakland Co. but I couldn't type quickly enough.
I agree.
How dare you impugn the good name of The Honorable Gentleman from Nevada? Has it come to this at last? Have you no shame?

** Or worse, a Christian. **
You're right! Being a Christian would cause a real uproar among Demos. Did anyone see Katie Curic asking Alan Specter if the so called *religious right* had too much power in politics, on the Today show yesterday?
For some strange reason the Liberals think Christians should be banned from any influence in politics. If they had their way (liberals), I doubt they would even allow Christians to vote.
Hillary? Remember those stolen files?
