I am listening to Alan Colmes radio show and he is warning his listeners about the dangerous senator, Sen. Pat Roberts.
Chairman of the Intelligence Committee is involved in writing the updated Patriot Act--and Alan is all paranoid that Roberts is gonna have spys in his closet...
He just asked "when is this fight gonna end, when is the spying, in the name of fighting terrorism gonna be over?"
Sheesh---I know there are a lot of freepers that are less than happy with the Patriot Act...but, I am one that thinks that just possibly that hated Patriot Act could be what has kept us from another 9/11 or a Chechen school attack...

Ted Stevens gets excited sometimes and can hardly talk, but I like him...some freepers resent the PORK that he sends to Alaska...I don't know how much more he gets than others, but I like him personally from watching him in the Senate!!

One posting was signed L. Jean Lewis That's the name of the Republican who once worked for a federal financial regulatory agency who worked in the waning days of the George Bush administration to force a federal investigation of Madison Savings and Loan, believing it would eventually implicate the Clintons and Jim Guy Tucker. Some of the information she developed became part of the record in the conviction of Jim Guy Tucker, a development that made Huckabee governor.
Said the note on the website signed L. Jean Lewis:
"Ever since the 'Jim Guy Tucker Convicted' headline in May of '96, I've been waiting to shake Gov. Huckabee's hand and congratulate hom on being only the 2nd [actually third since Reconstruction] Republican guv in the state's history. What a great idea - this is going to be one KICK-ASS party!!! Other than the above most of the threads I have found on Jean L. Lewis are written by Democrats and very negative.

I'm hoping this is the start of a long trend of Republicans acting like a Majority, but for right now I am so enjoying watching our Representatives in the Republican Party fight back. It was kind of lonely (and frustrating) fighting the Dems, MSM, Hollywood etc.. more or less on our own. Feels nice to have re-inforcements currently.
