5 or 6 hours and I'm groggy. Of course it depends on which hours.

I haven't had more than 4 hours of sleep any night this week, If I went to bed now, I would get 5 hrs :-)

Since I'm unemployed for the mo', if I went to sleep now, I'd get maybe 7 or 8 hours. That's getting dangerously close to too-much for me, 'cause I'd wake up with a headache and that's worse than not getting enough sleep! I've found that, no matter when I get to sleep, I'm awake 5-6 hours later and it's difficult to get back to sleep so I take that as a clue that it's been enough. So now I FReep.

Too bad you weren't here during the 24/7 live threads on the Iraq battle in the WOT two years ago. I too was not working then and had the place to myself very late/early.

, I agree, a healthy nights sleep for me is 6 hrs, 5 is Ok, but 6 is best. When I get 4 or less for several days I usually catch up by sleeping for 8 on the weekend. FR is to blame :-)

Someone told me earlier (I think it was 'Cowgirl) that the live thread during the demonRAT convention last summer was the most laughs she's ever had. I was lurking then, but not all that much, so I wish I'd been posting then too. Was the WoT stuff funny?

Hubby does that... he gets up so early during the week (4am, some days 3) and doesn't get to sleep until 9 or 10 if he's lucky. He really needs 8-10 hours at least - so like you he tries to make up for it on weekends. I'm convinced that only screws up his rhythm, but he insists!

I own a bodyshop and I do all the painting, so the lack of sleep takes a toll on me. Now that I'm an old fart and grandfather of two boys, it's even harder

Oh yeah. We had Baghdad cams and characters. One guy the media hired was in charge of the cams. Then he started building boxes for the tripods and we got a few weeks of carpenter sounds.
And this one guy, early morning over there, was consistently sweeping his balcony. We called them Muhammad and other names.
Then every once in a while we'd get BOOMS as missiles hit targets. The cams were on top of the Ministry of Info and one night it got a direct hit! Our speakers almost blew out. Cams were down for a few days but Muhammad the carpenter got them back up.
At night he'd switch to infared (the green look ala Paris Hilton porn) and some mornings he'd be late and not switch them back to regular mode and they'd be fuzzy.
It was a real hoot. Especially once we entered Baghdad when Baghdad Bob was lying and spinning about the "infidels" not being in the city while we could see the tanks in the background.

"It was a real hoot. Especially once we entered Baghdad when Baghdad Bob was lying and spinning about the "infidels" not being in the city while we could see the tanks in the background." LOL, I will never forget that scene... Baghdad Bob with his hands in the air proclaiming that no Infidels were in Baghdad, and over his shoulder we could see an M1 Abraham's Tank rolling towards bridge. That was the last time we saw Baghdad Bob in uniform

I had to sign off FR around post #1945 to go to my son's baseball game. I just got back, finished dinner, and got back on to FR. Cannot believe I missed 1500+ posts.
Can anyone tell me where the good parts are?
sigh ...........

I was really impressed with Jon Kyl today (first time I've ever heard him speak). Is that guy sharp or what? He cut right through to the bone.
I bet the dems really hate him because obviously he can run circles around any of them. heh heh.

I don't recall Byrd or warner being elected as president/ they've no right to demand selection of nominees for the court. UNACCEPTABLE.
