Several e-mails later, Wade conveyed the following information: On Friday, May 20, Kerry obtained a copy of Form 180 and signed it. ''The next step is to send it to the Navy, which will happen in the next few days. The Navy will then send out the records,"

That darn postal service will probably lose it. That's Kerry's story and he's sticking to it.

One serious question, though.

IF he ever submits the form, will it clear up the question that's been driving me NUTS for almost a year: Why were Kerry's citations signed by John Lehman?

Well technically Kerry kept his Clintonesque promise. He only promised to sign it, actually submitting it is another matter.

He might have signed it, we don't know, but it sure doesn't sound like it has been submitted to the proper authorities, yet.

So what needs to be asked of Kerry each time from now on is, "Have you SUBMITTED the signed 180?"
