Has anyone else noticed how much Harry Reid looks just like popcorn mogul Orville Redenbacher?
How can you take anyone who looks and sounds like him seriously?
The nuke only needs to happen ONCE. Once the rule is changed, it is changed for EVERY judicial nominee. The rats will play chicken, Frist will keep his finger hovering over the button, and it WILL go kaBOOM. It is only a matter of time. And then EVERY judge gets a vote from the full Senate.
In the meantime, the Republicans have demonstrated to the American public that they are willing to "compromise" and be nice, etc. They are the majority but they have shown compassion and fair play (at least, that's the way they figure the mindless chattering class will see it).
Anything "uncivil" that happens from here on out (such as the Republicans "regretfully and reluctantly" being "forced" to exercise their Constitutional option) will be the sole blame of the pestering, obstructionist, sore-loser Democrats (at least, that's the way the Republicans figure the mindless chattering class will see it).

Harry Reid is no moderate. He is a full blown lefty. He tries to look moderate for the public.
