I disagree, these were bald faced malicious assertions made by these guys, you may not agree with Dershowitz's politics but I've always seen him as a honest man as lawyers go so this is a major slam, esp if you could prove damage to his book sales.....even if you didn't win, the kind of shits need to learn a lesson on accountablity
if these guys can make these kind of allegations without any consequences, they'll keep up the routine
I'll bet these three guys haven't got a pot to piss in so the threat of losing their house etc or maybe even their jobs might give them pause for thought before ganging up on their next victim......
now no doubt these jerks will get legal defence money from the lefties, but I imagine it would be easy for Dershowitz to get funding from all the millions of people who'd love to Noam Chomsky get his come uppance
nothing like a successful libel suit to ruin the career of a socalled journalist or academic....
I just think as a very seasoned litigator Dershowitz has not filed a libel suit because he knows he would be ill-served by the U.S. courts.
Who needs to walk past that stuff every day?
The jury? Dershowitz is smart enough to know that it'll mainly consist of people who read one or two books a year, if that. And he's a public figure. If he loses, then triumverate only looks stonger.
I'm halfway through "The Anti-Chomsky Reader" (Peter Collier and David Horowitz, editors). Until now I've never had such a clear idea of what a nut-bag Chomsky is.

Most important intellectual alive? Give me Stephen Hawking any day, at least he practices real science --> Mathematics. Not some made-up hate-America mumbo jumbo marxist philosophy.

Finkelstein cleans Dershowitz's clock and demonstrates superior/masterful cros-examination skills, which is surprising considering Dershowitz is the professional in that arena.
To defeat the leftist domination of college intellectual life, a comprehensive program is needed, ranging from constant intellectual challenge to leftists, antiSemites and the likes, to refusal of public funding for the likes of Chomskys.
