How novel another jealous site, boy this is breaking news. Just think how great Walmart would be with a union, yeah that will help. Keep posting nonsense and you will be considered along with Clinton.

Because of Wal-Mart's inadequate wages and benefits,

Yesirree it's a sight to see those Wermacht, I mean Walmart, Storm Troopers rounding up the Walmart conscripts and herding them into the boxcars for the long ride to Sam's Place.

If you do not have talent, or acquire skills and knowledge, and learn to have a work ethic, you work at low wage jobs for the rest of your life. Walmart is a good first job or a supplemental job. Most people I know that work there are supplementing their income.

Walmart does fine. I don't hear about them not being able to find employees. Maybe you're just a liberal who is mad because Walmart is not unionized.

I must have missed the part where people are forced to work there.

A few years back if you didn't like your employer's perks you went to work for someone else with better perks. Lots of us did.

The Internationale [variant words in square brackets]

Arise ye workers [starvelings] from your slumbers
Arise ye prisoners of want
For reason in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of cant.
Away with all your superstitions
Servile masses arise, arise
We'll change henceforth [forthwith] the old tradition [conditions]
And spurn the dust to win the prize.

So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.
So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.

No more deluded by reaction
On tyrants only we'll make war
The soldiers too will take strike action
They'll break ranks and fight no more
And if those cannibals keep trying
To sacrifice us to their pride
They soon shall hear the bullets flying
We'll shoot the generals on our own side.

No saviour from on high delivers
No faith have we in prince or peer
Our own right hand the chains must shiver
Chains of hatred, greed and fear
E'er the thieves will out with their booty [give up their booty]
And give to all a happier lot.
Each [those] at the forge must do their duty
And we'll strike while the iron is hot.

Hmm, let's see....nobody does what Halliburton does as well as Halliburton does it, and nobody does what Wal-Mart does as well as Wal-Mart does it!

I believe I'm detecting a trend here.

What are you some kinda union goon?

Unions suck and are communist inspired threats to free enterprise.

If you don't like Wal Mart, don't shop there or work there. Otherwise, ciera la boca.

Nationwide, millions of waitresses are eligible for government assistance because we only tip an average of 15% of the check. If only we would all tip 40%, they could all afford nice homes and cars. We are all guilty of being little evil Wal-Marts.

Why don't we let the government take over Wal-Mart, then it could be run with the same effeciency and economy as our public schools, the post office, and VA hospitals.

Who is this assclown? WalMart probably generates $18 billion in sales tax alone. They paid $5.589 billion in income tax. If their 1.3 million employees make $17,000 each that's $22 billion in salary and $1.37 billion in Social Security taxes. They paid $2.2 billion in dividends last year. If every "hit" to the federal government was as profitable as WalMart, there'd be no deficit.

Love the website. A sample:

Union members receive better non-health care benefits. For instance, 72% of union workers have guaranteed pensions with defined benefits, while only 15% of non-union workers enjoy such retirement security. (Bureau of Labor Statistics, Department of Labor, “Employee Benefits in Private Industry, 2003,” Table 1, 9/17/03).

Great unless your union runs the company into bankruptcy. Ask United Airlines employees how guaranteed their pensions are.

How about this for a headline?

UAL Unions cost taxpayers $6.6 billion!!!

Government to take over UAL pension plans

The Union Thugs should take over and they would be out of business in short order.

And, of course, we all know that a big paycheck is a right! Darn those filthy capitalist pigs who pay employees what their work is worth! After all, those poor employees are forced to work for Wal-Mart. They can't just quit and work for some other employer.

I demand that every American worker be paid $700 dollars an hour, starting tomorrow! That will solve all our economic problems, won't it? </sarcastic rant>

For Pete's sake. Will some of you please take an economics class? It will honestly lower your blood pressure a bunch.

Does anyone know how Wal-Mart employment practices compare to K-Mart, Target, Costco, and other similar retail operations?
