The problem is that we as a people don't have the stomach for it.

Let's hope the Israelis do!

Jenin is a case in point. The Palies screamed "massacre" from the rooftops. 500 killed..yada yada yada..CNN, Amnesty Int, the BBC, etc were all over it.

Fake funerals filmed by the IDF...and no apologies forthcoming. It just faded into oblivion. But the seed was planted and every now and then thugs like Erekat trot out this blood libel.

I'm so sick of us tolerating these murderous lunatics, I could spit.

Problem is, it can't be used when there is more than one person in the vicinity or they'll blow up the bomber and everyone around him/ her

Oh, I wouldn't want them to use it when others may be injured. I would just stand the terrorist(s) over by themselves in a safe location and discharge the explosives. I would probably just click the detonator a time or two first, saying oops, this thing must need new batteries before actually "pulling the trigger".

No way they can do something like that. The condemnation would be world wide including our own government.

I hear what you're saying...unfortunately, even our admin wouldn't stand for that. My own feeling is that these devices should be deployed along the border and at all border crossings, before they pass into Israel on the approach to the crossing.

So if they are detonated, let them take out their own.

One problem...there have been instances of bomb belts being transported in Red Crescent ambulances, underneath kids...little ones. Can you imagine one of those going up because of an Israli action? There would a be a todo to end all todos.

Well, the article is about an Israeli checkpoint; but I'll let Mr. Peters address your concerns about "condemnation from other governments".

"Do not be afraid to be powerful. Our great strengths are wealth and raw power. When we fail to bring those strengths to bear, we contribute to our own defeat. For a national power to think small, which has been our habit across the last decade, at least, is self-defeating folly. Our responses to terrorist acts should make the world gasp!"

And, "Concentrate on winning the propaganda war where it is winnable. Focus on keeping or enhancing the support from allies and well-disposed clients, but do not waste an inordinate amount of effort trying to win unwinnable hearts and minds. Convince hostile populations through victory."

"If I grew up in the Middle East, I'd probably be suicidal too."

Israel is beautiful. In fact, Mrs sofaman, and the sofalass are flying there on Sunday.

On the flip side, I've been to the West Bank...oy yoy yoy! A fly infested, camel-dung riddled dustbowl. In fact, I think the national bird of the Palestinian Authority is the fly.

I like what he has to say...unfortunately, the MSM and the Dem Party make it impossible.

If I grew up in the Middle East, I'd probably be suicidal too.

Funny that none of the Jewish girls growing up in the Israel, under constant threat from the Palies, become suicidal, at least not in the martyr yourself for your religion sense.

Was this the one just shown on NBC News? The burn patient was dumped by her callous fiance so she tries to kill the Jews at the hospital. Somehow I miss her reasoning....

Yeah, seems like she "missed" the target.

I'd also carry my 9mm in my garter for self defense

About as much need for that in some places here. Usually the places where you can't do it legally. Funny how that works.
