And where are we with this Amnesty threat?

http://www.amnestyusa.org/annualreport/statement.html
Statement Of Dr. William F. Schulz Executive Director, Amnesty International USA

Excerpt:

Amnesty International calls on foreign governments to uphold their obligations under international law by investigating all senior US officials involved in the torture scandal.

(snip)

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of those who deserve investigation, we would be remiss if we ignored President George W. Bush’s role in the scandal. After all, his Administration has repeatedly justified its detention and interrogation policies as legitimate under the President’s powers as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

(snip)

If Hitler was around today, they'd support him against us, too.

Satan's minions.

Very interesting link there kristinn. I am a bit confused ... is WTI part of the International Court ie UN we hear so much about. WTI has recommendations for the UN also. Looking at Brussels, NYC etc provides some valuable information and answers more than a few questions.

We recommend:
1. The immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the coalition forces from Iraq;

4. That the Guantanamo Bay prison and all other offshore US military prisons be closed immediately;

This WTI was conducted June 23-27. TurbanDurbin made his treasonous "comments" on June 14th, and issued his non-apology, apology on June 21. Coincidence???

8. That soldiers exercise conscience and refuse to enlist and participate in an illegal war. Also that countries provide conscientious objectors political asylum.

These 'people' are telling the world what to do and think, yet do not understand the definition of enlist.
Gives me a better understanding of why the - whatever you choose to call them - in Congress keep trying to force a draft. I wonder if they will be beheaded for failing their mission?

9. That the international campaign for dismantling all US military bases abroad be reinforced.

What can be said about this?

These Kool Aid drinkers need to detox. They have a genuine death wish. They hate Bush because he represents the Christian Right that supports a culture which opposes the lifestyle of the left. They believe that giving support to the islamo-fascists will cause a political defeat of the Right. Little do they realize that with the islamo-fascists, this is no game. The islamo-fascists have little use for the culture of the left and will want them eliminated once the Right is out of the picture.

From an Ion Mihai Pacepa article in the National Review:

During my last meeting with Andropov, he said, wisely, "now all we have to do is to keep the Vietnam-era anti-Americanism alive." Andropov was a shrewd judge of human nature. He understood that in the end our original involvement would be forgotten, and our insinuations would take on a life of their own. He knew well that it was just the way human nature worked.

First saw this during the recent unpleasantness of the '04 elections -- it looks like it will never go out of style. I think these people have it tattooed on their butts, or something....

Sorry, it's late and I didn't read all the posts.

There is a law against what the US citizens did at the conference. If the individuals signed that resolution, they should be held legally accountable.

Treason and/or sedition, giving aid to the enemy, whatever.

I think they may have gone a little too far this time.

"...we the Jury of Conscience declare our solidarity with the people of Iraq."

%%%%%%

Which people of Iraq? Baathists, deadenders, Zarqari's followers, terrorists from Saudi Arabia?

These are not the people who will form a democratic form of government.

Thanks for posting this revealing (and disgusting) info, kristinn.

The World Tribunal on Iraq is endorsed by leading leftwing organizations from around the world including American-based groups like Not in Our Name Project, United for Peace and Justice, Code Pink and International ANSWER.........

--------------------------------------------

Got any proof that these groups endorsed this "tribunal"? I don't doubt it but any solid, undeniable link would be helpful.
