They may want a RINO but they are going to get Harris. She gracefully stepped aside last time for Martinez but this time she is going for it regardless of what Rove, Bush, Dole or anyone else says.
I know there are many people saying she cannot win in Florida but I have my doubts. She courageously stood up to the Florida State Supreme Court, every Democrat in the country, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and all the foreign newsworks and faithfully carried out her duties as Secretary of State. That woman has tons of courage and if she wants to take on the whole world again, more power to her. She may surprise all you "Doubting Thomases."

Sure she has done much for the GOP in Florida, but they are afraid of some sort of backlash that I don't believe is there...

It never does any good to run from the reasons Democrats hate you. And in Katherine Harris' case, it would be wrong.
What she did was honorable, and while doing your job shouldn't require courage when you are just a minor public official, in her case it did, and she carried it off with grace and aplomb.
Democrats are going to hate us whatever we do, so for God's sake show some spine. And when the Dems go apoplectic, which they are bound to do, just give a jaunty smile and keep on doing what you are doing. The professional screamers aren't going to like you, and you shouldn't want them to like you.
Who in the GOP cares what the dems think anyway? The dems will not be voting for her anyway. Let her run and get behind her and support her. Who needs friends with this crap going on. Geesh.

Correct. She told Hannity recently that no such animsosity exists. She had kind words for Bense. She plans to announce soon....said Rep. leaders felt better when she showed data that says she can win. I do believe same leaders (Rove, etc) were correct to assess the situation, which is how Katherine basicallly characterizes the story. We can't afford to lose any seats.

What, exactly, do the WH, RNC and Jeb hold against Katherine Harris? Too "country club?" not fundy enough, not smart enough, lack of expertise in a particular area? Or are these simply rumors spread by the Dems, MSM etc., who hate a courageous woman?
All is cool, unless she's a phenominal liar/politician. I chalk it up to liberal troublemakers.
Why is it, I wonder, that so many Freepers, who are well aware of the strong anti-GOP bias of the MSM, always believe without question claims of insider information about the Republicans by members of the MSM?
