IMHO, there is a paper trail somewhere showing Sandy Berger and Gorelick involved in this Able Danger fiasco up to their eyeballs.

So Sandy gets caught stuffing his socks...what were those papers that disappeared concerned with?

And why was he given a mere slap on the wrist and his security clearance allowed to be reinstated after only three years?

Why did it take a diligent congressman like Weldon to give this story some traction?

So, in an indirect way, Gorelick is partially responsible for the removal of Saddam Hussein and the Taliban... how ironic.

This is not a "conspiracy theory".

Former Clinton Administration National Security Advisor Sandy Berger pled guilty to smuggling five classified documents, including a highly secret memorandum, out of the National Archives related to the Clinton administration’s response to terrorism. Berger, who was preparing for his testimony before the 9/11 Commission at the time, later destroyed the documents, shredding them with scissors at his office, and lied to investigators.

That part is not supposition. Those are facts. Furthermore, a logical timeline has now been established. Accordingly, it is perfectly reasonable to at least suspect, if not conclude, that information about the existence of this team and its reports could be the items destroyed.

No tin foil hat is required.

But it is clearly Ms. Gorelick’s memo, and the Clinton Administration’s scrupulosity regarding information sharing and the “civil rights” of terror-suspects, that played the key role in preventing information from being passed to the appropriate agencies prior to the 9/11 attacks.

There is a definite pattern here...

Her presence on the panel was one of the first clues this commission was a P.R. scam. Bush, Repubs and Demos will not seriously investigate what led to 9/11.
