"Pittman agreed, calling the pro-Bush crowds "very cordial, like regular people" while saying the anti-war demonstrators seemed "confused.""
Of course they're confused - they're democrats!
I just sent this to one of our local talk show hosts here in Phoenix, Barry Young who supports the President but hasn't, in my hearing, noted the conservative turn out in Crawford.
Specifically, I called his attention to Cindy Watson's statement about not wanting Cindy using her son's cross.
Cindy is from Phoenix. Michael Williams, her son, was killed in Iraq.

I can understand your frustration with the lifetime appointments. In certain fields I think it's probably the worst thing that would happen short of no lifetime appointments.
I do not think our nation would be well served by each new president dumping the old judicial crew and starting out fresh.
Imagine a guy like Clinton getting to appoing nine SCOTUS members at one time. Why he'd have been declared god after six years.
"I hope you get help."
Anyone who thinks Hanoi Kerry isn't behind the anti war crowd needs to get a clue.
There is no need to impeach Hanoi Kerry from the US Senate
He is there illegally!
WAKEUP AMERICA!
For those who "forgot" what Hanoi Kerry
did in the past read on and learn the truth.
Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen
Why is Kerry still in the US Senate?
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3

And the FBI has proof of his treason.

Kerry and Julia traveled to Paris, France and met with Madame Nguyen Thi Binh, the Foreign Minister of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of Vietnam (PRG), the political wing of the Vietcong, and other Viet Cong and Communist Vietnamese representatives to the Paris peace talks, a trip he now calls a "fact-finding" mission.
(U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953, declares it illegal for a U.S. citizen to go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power.)

I'm not opposed to judges having to face the public after a period of time. Heck, my vote helped remove Rose Bird and two other judges from the SCOCa.
My concern was a situation where one president or party could dominate the SCOTUS.
With the SCOTUS, I could go for a term of ten years with the provision that after they faced that first election, I'd suggest every five years after that.
I do want judges to be somewhat above public opinion. On the other hand, I don't want them thumbing their noses at us either.
When the SCOTUS recently allowed the taking of private property on nothing more than a whim, I realized it was time to end the 'for life' situation.
It's time that the judges got back to the U.S. Constitution when it comes to weapons also. I guess that could apply to a number of issues.
Yes, I'd also agree regarding the retirment plans.
When it comes to Congress and the Senate, I'm pretty rigid. Number one, their sessions are way too long. Number two, they shouldn't be paid to sit in those bodies. They should do so part time.
The best way for these jerks to remember who they're working for and what private life is like, is to force them to have to make ends meet just like the rest of us.
I'm not exactly sure how this would work, I haven't given it a lot of thought. I am quite uncomfortable with the idea that only wealthy people can serve in our federal government. There are times when I wish there were more average Joe's on duty in Washington, where they could do some good.
The fools back there now pass bills with no regard to what it will do to the middle class.
I wouldn't mind seeing the members of Congress tripled. I'm not convinced it wouldn't be an improvement to have three reps from each district. There would be a position for a person whose family made $50k or less, one of $50k - $100k and one for in excess of $100k.
This last idea is a very rough draft. I'd have to give this more though before I actually bought on to it.
The problem for me at this time, is that I get the feeling that those folks in D.C. haven't a clue what most of us have to deal with every day.
I do not want to see Congress dominated by wealthy people or poor people.
Thanks for the comments.
Who ask you ..??
Yes you did! Sorry my response is so late. Hey, if you are sincere in being a Freeper and believe the same, welcome to FR!
I wasn't sure if you were a DUmmie, or not. Stick around, jodinabowers. You can't have a thin skin around here.
I hope you are right that her treasonous behavior won't be be forgotten or forgiven. But I don't think so. Kerry still walks the Earth. Cindy Sheehan is anti-war history! Katrina trumped her, big time. She's down the memory hole. Way, way too many important stories besides what she says/thinks.) Never fear though, Jane Fonda is right there, too. UGH.
