"Only God knows the truth..."
Do you have any evidence to back this up?

I'm sure there are lots of Scientologists who take the 'Scien' part of their name quite seriously and would like to teach their own creation theories as well.

Don't know what to say to that.

News flash - a lot of schools (my children attended) do teach creationism along with evolution.

I don't have any kids. But if I did and wanted to teach them religious beliefs I would either
A. Do it myself.
B. Send them to a parochial school either full time or on weekends.

Do we include Greek creation stories? How about those of the Scientologists? No, because Jesus is the man.

20% think the sun revolves around the earth. Were they in this poll?
From the article: The different theories "should be addressed in science classes.
There is no other theory besides evolution. Creationism is not a theory, it's an assertion (e.g., "God did it, enough said.") ID is not a theory.

There is really no consensus on the theory of evolution...and they teach that? Let's not pretend.
To: NC28203
Both? Do we teach New Earth Creationism or Old Earth Creationism? Do we include Greek creation stories? How about those of the Scientologists?
---
This faulty argument again!
Evos try to make you believe that every creation story will have to be taught in every classroom in every school in America. I don't think so.
How many people do you know believe in a Greek creation story? I think America can accommodate these few.
If the fraction of a percent want to be taught their creation story, so what?

>>>Do we include Greek creation stories? How about those of the Scientologists? No, because Jesus is the man.
But there is as much scientific evidence for these creation theories as there is for Biblical creation.

Please...Please...Please...Secular Humanism is a theology that puts man and the rest of created beings in the center of the universe.
Let's not pretend SH is not a type of theology.
To: joyspring777
Yes, but one can do research to try and validate one view or another. Where is the research being done to confirm New Earth Creation vs. Old Earth Creation.

In reality, the only creation the CS/ID folks want is the one in the bible.

Actually the scientific folk don't believe the Earth is at the center of the universe. We haven't believed that since Copernicus.

If one sends their kids to government schools...they do get indoctrinated in the faith of Secular Humanism and Athiesm.
So sending kids there is a choice of one theology over another. Not none vs another.
