The Navajo, the Pima, and the Apache have always served in numbers disproportionate to their share of the population. Its amazing that people who gave the U.S. Army one hell of the fight, signed up in such large numbers after their defeat.

Wow, what a great story! What great Americans!
"Being a Navajo, I learned the ways of a warrior," said the 18-year-old Yazzie. "This is why I saw the honor and prestige of being a Marine.
... said Fred Yazzie, Pvt. Yazzie's grandfather. "Many Navajo men were fiercely loyal to their country because being a Marine filled them with an even greater sense of pride."

No offense to the Navajo's, but this Wind Talkers thing has got to be one of the most over-played stories ever. It won't be long till there is a movie about it.

"It won't be long till there is a movie about it." And they'll probably get Nicolas Cage to play the lead in it.

I know his family is proud of him, he sure is a military looking Marine. Best of luck to him. I know the 'code talkers' gave our country a way to help win the war.

More great Americans. I hope he has many children like him!

I really wish that they had done a much better job on the movie Code Talkers. Such a great, great story and the Hollywood types has to screw it up.

One time he was sleeping in a fighting hole and he heard the Japanese soldiers walking near them so he picked up his entrenching tool and (defended himself)."
Ah man! What a way to ruin a good story.
