This shows you exactly where the priorities of the gay rights movement is.

"I can't quite believe that God's hand was punishing all of New Orleans. In the old testament, He only did that when there was not one righteous person. "I was only presenting Dr. Savages point of view, because I thought it relevant to the thread, not necessarily because I agree with it. Basically, I don't. But Savage is always controversial, and sometimes interesting- always brave.

How disgusting and despicable. To the best of my knowledge, there are still bodies in New Orleans that have not yet been collected. But, I suppose these bozos have their own priorities. Homes and businesses have been decimated. Lives have been ruined and shattered. There is a serious debate going on in this country, and it will continue to go on for some time, about whether or not the city should even be rebuilt. And these idiots just have to go out and put on their parade. Pathetic!

"I'm rather surprised Fred Phelps hasn't shown up yet. He does have a rather appropriate ZIP code."
Fred Phelps and his gang have probably decided not to show up because right now the people in New Orleans are too poor to be sued. It would be like trying to get blood out of a stone. He would rather protest dead people in order to provoke the families of the bereaved, and then file a lawsuit against them. I think this more appropriately shows the level of his devotion.

I have yet to say any of the "Katrina Was God's Judgement" crowd explain why the French Quarter (being on higher ground) was largely spared. Either their Deity has bad aim, or he wasn't involved. I haven't figured out why they aren't down on everyone for trying to interfere with God's good works by mounting relief and rescue efforts.
