Maybe "good old Louisiana water" always has 20,000 parts/billion of e.coli when anything over 200 is considered harmful. Does she not watch TV? She obviously is still trying to buy a clue.

Now do you guys believe that she never asked the feds to take over? I told you the pdf was a fake, it wasn't there before and it has no Executive Order or Press Release to match it on her website (well they may have by now); Even by disaster standards if she did it in another way, she never sent it... don't worry...I captured it before it was changed.

thought the feds were in charge? See... these mofo's need to be thrown in jail!

No... President Bush did not Federalize the National Guard and the Louisiana State Constitution under Governor Blanco is in charge.

I'm not sure about all States... but most State Consitutions limit Federal exercise or authority - meaning Homeland Security, like the FBI, can not operate independently superceding State law. Governor Blanco could order FEMA and all active duty troops out of the state at any time. The U.S. Constitution does not supercede the Louisiana State Constitution except during times of declared War or if President Bush Federalizes the Lousiana National Guard.

"The mayor certainly has ordered that but the governor, and that would be me, would have to enforce it or implement it. We are trying to determine whether there is an absolute justification for that," she told FOX News.

Hello,

"...and that would be me..." God in Heaven, is this woman pathetic or what??

Glad be be here, really in need of something to keep my head from exploding, MOgirl

Wake up, wide...

When the cholera breaks out, it will be time for the President to invoke the Insurrection Act, and place Blanko in a locked room. The "blame" should be apportioned in the order it belongs" 1. Nagin, 2. Blanco 3. AWOL NOLAPD... and 4 Congress. No evidence whatsoever the President did anything other than go above and beyond precedent, and that the logistics of the federal relief effort was anything other than record breaking."

"We ain't stuck on stupid," General Honore said. "We don't place troops in the eye of a hurricane.

The only way she can make herself look bad(in the MSM) is if she goes to war with another Democrat. She seems to blundering in that direction by publicly overruling Nagin.

Nagin in just in over his head but still trying. The bus screw up was not willful incompetence, but incompetence born of inexperience and ineptitude. Blanco is in a whole other league. She has shown herself to be a willful obstructionist and opportunistic saboteur.

Now how can she be removed. Nagin seem able to follow simple instructions but she is pure poison

If this is true, then the governor just accepted full responsibility for not evacuating everyone.

She just screwed herself big time.

I wonder who he was planning on using to enforce the evacuations? The NO police? They're currently all partying in Vegas...

"I see the communications is still great out there."

I saw on CNN a conversation between Gen. Honore and Nagin. He was telling Nagin to get on public radio to inform Blanco to get the buses into town earlier in the following day.

That is, Nagin had no regular channels way to get to Blanco.

Blanco is a big problem. rove is letting Bush fester - though partly this is due with FEMA public "we're in charge" attitude from which many assumed FEMA was in control day one.

Question: Who pays for the Amphibious Operation to bring food and water to these people every few days?

I think I know and it's getting depressing.

Living below sea level, electing idiots, not paying attention to the weather, and now we gotta come up with a miracle to haul food and water in to keep 'em alive in a wasteland? I'm starting to feel like Moses.

Actually, some doctor/scientist dude said this afternoon (sorry was supposed to be working so didn't get a name) said what they had died of was an organism that's always present in river/lake water. In the summer it multiplies, so more deaths are caused by it. He explained the elderly and very young who's immune systems are weak are usually the ones who can't fight it. The deaths reported in LA were elderly.

I really should know the name of the organism since we have it here. Every couple summers someone around here dies of it. It's usually younger kids who have cuts and scrapes and swim in stagnant water.
