One of the prettiest and sexiest girls I ever knew served two years in the IDF...she could shoot, fight and belly dance...I kid you not.

"What Kind of Nation Sends Women into Combat?"
A very foolish one. One that wants to loose wars and population at the same time.

All other things being equal, no woman can compete with a man with similar training in combat. They lack the ability to develop equivalent muscle mass and lack the hand-eye coordination inherent in males. They also lack the killer instinct most males (liberals excluded) possess.
Woman may wear the uniform, they may take the classes, but they will never be soldiers. No great militaray power in history EVER had a military force comprised of women - NONE.

Yeah, but it was the belly dancing that attracted me most.

If attacked by these women I will fight to my death. The ones posted above them I will surrender to, even though it may expose me to rape, and torture with their panties over my head.

Actually, I've always observed that women are more accurate shooters. They don't seem to have the "flinch response" men do.
As for the killer instinct is concerned, how do you explain the likes of Tania Charnova and Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko. Lyudmila is still considered one of the Best Female Snipers ever. 187 confirmed kills is nothing to sneeze at.

I don't know about women, but if you want amoral bloodthirsty assassins... get a brigade of women's divorce lawyers.
To: Dead Corpse
Women may be better shooters simply because they're easier to teach. Men think that they know everything about shooting; as if having hangy-down parts gives one an inherent knowledge of firearms. Thus the first step in teaching a man to shoot is teaching him that he needs to be taught. You can skip that step with females.
I've also noticed the lack of a flinch response. The first time I took my daughter (7 y.o. at the time) shooting, I stood where I could see her eyes as she shot. She never blinked when she fired a round. I've also taken a number of college students shooting. Males will often flinch, but the female students are like statues.

There was an article posted about it a while back. Apparently it's hard wired into the nerves. I can hardly wait to start teaching my daughter the basics. I'm not bad with a rifle, but my pistol skills need a lot of work.
As far as how dangerous women are... I think it may be situational. There is a reason they came up with sayings like "the most dangerous place to be is between a determined mother and her young" and "the female of the species is more deadly than the male."
All that being said, military service isn't for everyone. If you don't think you can handle it, you probably can't. Regardless of sex.

A woman's place is certainly not on the battlefield.
Field female soldiers at your own peril.
I wish all of our enemies fielded weaklings that cry when they break a nail.

If you had seen some of the WM's I worked with while I was in, you wouldn't make such a blanket statement. Yeah, there were a few of those types as well, but most knew their job entailed getting dirty, getting hurt, and not whining about it.
