One of our neighbors is ans A/P clerk at a local college. She believes this stuff.
When I mention facts, and Rush, she devlops hives.
Then my retort is, that libs are blood-suckers from those who work, and grow the economy. She is then non-plussed with logic. Then My wife rips in with arguments about Economics, Accounting, Chemistry, Logistics, Statistics, Bell Curves...
I'm the the "good cop", Karen rips the logic of a college A/P clerk who never metriculated from university.
It is absolutely impossible to read Howard Fineman. He is WRONG ALL the time! He just says things because he wants them to be true.
Has anyone seen the number of paid ad pages in Newsweek or Time ?
The last copy of time had 80 pages total with about 31 pages of ads.
Not only that, the circulation numbers are bogus. For example, they are sending me copies for free (My guess is my demographics are desireable).
The same Newsweek that published a false and inflammatory Quran Down the Toilet story?
Yawn!!
"except it is more like Lewis & Lewis."
More like the Frick and Frack of the MSM.

The MSM, Jonathan Alter, and Howard Not-so-Fineman are having the time of their journalistic lives. The thrill for me is watching how President Bush handles the rough spots, remains steady, stays focused. President Bush doesn't "lose his head when all about him, men are losing theirs and blaming it on him". We got ourselves a leader, boys! Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead, and just for fun, I'd like to ask Jon and Howard to take a little walk down memory lane.

"The Big Lie" Syndrome.
Once again, GW's enemies are playing checkers while he is playing chess.
And he will survive and thrive, imho.
I like that. Thanks.
My dad is a university professor, and textbook liberal academic. He has for years gotten much of his political "enlightenment" from Newsweek, (though he, of course, thinks he is does not rely on the media for his opinions...as he is evidently omniscient). He passes them on to me, which I use as bathroom reading to keep up on what the enemies of America are up to...as if I could avoid being bombarded by that perspective in the course of daily life.
I drink martinis, and I have for years. Anyone who drank 12 in an evening would be dead, or at least in a coma. The idea that he would drink 12 at a fundraiser is just ludicrous.
Thanks for the list of examples of anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-life Democratic Crime Syndicate. Must save/print/copy/memorize/present to some of their uninformed, uninterested, MSM-manipulated-minions that I work with. Great philosophical ammo.
I stopped reading Newsweek in the 8th grade. Sad that it still thinks it has some sort of reputation as a "news" magazine.
....unlike Newsweek that thrives on a large margin of error.
It's rare to find a professor that is NOT a liberal. Sad. And I love the fence-sitters......"I'm a social liberal and a fiscal conservative". LOL Ain't no such dog. Anyway, keep up the good work and keep the faith!
The GOP is in big trouble if they think keeping people like Rudy G. at the top will have the cash rolling in. Conservatives won us the White House with W. They will now stay away and home in 06 and 08 unless they come up with a miracle.
Howard Fineman is the ultimate courtier. This oleaginous weasel would be just as comfortable being the handmaiden of the Czar as he would Lenin. An article like this must be worth three extra hors d'oeuvres and an extra chardonnay at the D.C. cocktail parties.
