It is better to never start into the stuff and try some conservative adventure like starting a legitimate business after gathering some marketable skills.

Well you could be right about that. Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys, and all that. But his story isn't typical. That's why they make movies and write long, boring magazine articles about guys like this. Most pot smokers are consumers, not dealers. You don't even know most of them are there. Trust me, you really don't.

Great drug activists talking points there, but law enforcement is what lies between us and very stupid or evil people who would endanger themselves and others around them.

I do not consider law enforcement an idiots battle.
Without law enforcement, drug addiction would grow far more IMO.

Pot is not less harmless than alcohol because you can eat and drink only bits of alcohol and there is no issue. With pot you smoke it and smoking through the lungs is the best known method to quickly get a drug instantly through the body in existence. It is even faster than an injection into the blood stream.

I think the restrictions on alcohol are more restrictive than necessary. We are talking about human nature here.
We are also talking about who owns your body. If you don't, who does? The State? I reiterate, the WOD is a failure that creates massive problems for society. End it post haste. Re-legalize all drugs. Empty the prisons.

It's illegal because it is dangerous, just as abusing alcohol or giving yourself a lobotomy would be.

I find you and the jack-booted WOD enforcers to be far more dangerous to society than my pot smoking neighbors.

People that want to smoke pot are doing it anyway, people that want to abuse ethanol are doing it anyway. I suppose anyone that wants to crack their noggin and lobotomize themselves is doing that anyway. Cassius Clay comes to mind.

The kids who started doing this were already recreational drug users and dealers on a low level when they decided to become major dealers.

The subjects of this news story were idiots (probably due in part from the pot) from the start.

I think the one thing the article pointed to was that at least the young pot smokers were all stupid and couldn't think clearly with all their drugs.
