The 'memo-gate' moments keep coming and coming. Kinko's must be doing one hell of a lot of business these days.
'List-gate' perhaps?

"Travis County prosecutors admitted Friday they lack physical proof of a list of Republican candidates that is at the heart of money-laundering indictments against U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay and two of his associates." Oh, who needs a piffling detail like that anyway.

"DeLay's prosecutors lack a key document" A little something we like to call..PROOF! Put some ice on that Ronnie,
Your friend Bill

But prosecutors said Friday in court that they only had a "similar" list They got it a Kinko's. I would think that Texas has rules of evidence.

>>>"I'll tell you what I think about this list. In the 1950s, a man named McCarthy claimed to have a list of 200 communists in the State Department, and he didn't"<<<
Bad example. McCarthy was generally correct in his claims; and his crusade was not political, but one of honoring his oath of office. Anyone who takes an oath to protect and defend the constitution must be an enemy of communism, by default.

LOL ! This is unreal.
The guy gets an indictment without having the evidence he claims to have.
I wonder how the MSM is going to spin this one. This should be interesting to watch.

Brit had it on Fox earlier. He did a real good job not to LOL during the report. I think I did hear a few snickers, though. :-)

He was right. The Venona files gleaned from the Russian intelligence archives showed he was "mostly" right. The State Dept. was full of Commies.
But he made the same mistake the Austin, TX "Gang that couldn't shoot straight" has. You don't claim to have evidence you can't produce or that doesn't exist.

On Brit's show they said Earle doesn't have the real list, but they have somebody who saw it. LOL Is this for real?

Even if Earle had a list of names and donations, it would still not be proof people broke the law. Besides, the Republican Party Of Texas is certain to fight any demand for records on the same grounds the NAACP fought the State Of Alabama back in the 1950s: freedom of association and expectation of member privacy.
