She used "Brewster-jennings" on her form when she gave money to Kerry or Algore, so SHE COMPROMISED ALL OTHER CIA AGENTS THAT USED BREWSTER-JENNINGS AS THEIR COVER!! Don't the political parties "mine" companies where donors come from?? Then Miss Plame OUTED HER COVER CONPANY!!

Novak called the CIA to confirm the information and they did NOT tell him not to publish. So is that agent in trouble? All he had to do is tell Novak she was classified.

We've been all through this today.. from the lawyers on the board and reading the statues it sounds like the disclosure of classified data has to be knowing and intentional to be a violation - I certainly claimed no special legal expertise.
But I have not seen anything to indicate Libby knew that Plame's position was classified in July 2003 failing I don't see how any disclosure could be knowing.
So how is what I posted above incorrect? In any case I tried to make it clear it was I thought was true, not a statement of fact.

I really don't know. Plus there is a lot about the Novak angle that isn't public.
A quick google search found this. If it's accurate it sounds like Novak didn't talk to just any agent.
"Former CIA director George J. Tenet and ex-deputy director John E. McLaughlin, were both interviewed by prosecutors. Bill Harlow, CIA public affairs director, went before the grand jury and was questioned about a conversation he had with Novak before Novak's column appeared. Sources said he was contacted by Novak about the Plame information and told him not to publish her name or information about her."
