Actually, the remnants of TD 27, which they were forecasting would merge with the larger low east of Nicaragua. I wasn't sure whether they'd give it a new designation. Looks like they kept it TD 27, which re-energized into Gamma.
Same here. I'm so happy right about now that we got accordian shutters. But, we just contracted with someone to come and do landscaping. Maybe we'd better wait a couple more months!

What a wild ride this season has been.........SHEESH
I have an Aunt Wilma. She's in her 90s and still lives alone and about 5 years ago, she broke her arm. She fell off her roof fixing something. I think it's a great name!

I'm not all that smart. Are those temps still warm enough to rev this baby up?

Boca will still be here. And I gotta say, they got the debris up really quickly after Wilma. Can't have any old debris hanging around making Boca ugly!

The forecast track indicates the storm will be moving very quickly once it makes the hairpin turn toward FL Sunday--too fast to gain much strength. Expected to remain a TS through FL landfall.
Not this ....again! Local Orlando news says it could be a minimal hurricane before hitting land. The news shows it being at 65mph Mon. at 1pm.
So, then, mainly rain. We lose power here at the least little bit of wind, but maybe we won't lose it this time. I'm tired of restocking my fridge and freezer!

Whatever the intensity is, if it gets here Monday, it'll be here before my tarp gets put on. Just damn.
All. New Fla. bumper sticker:
HONK IF YOU BOARDED UP THIS YEAR
Luckily, my shutters are still up, and have been up since I put them up for Rita. After getting caught off-guard by Katrina, I said, "Never again".
Great timing for the removal of Wilma debris. Just in time to keep Gamma from making a mess with it.
No! Say it ain't so! My brother in Coconut Creek just got his power back from Wilma.
Coming off the gulf it most likely will spawn tornadoes. You definitely need to get tarps somehow for the roof before it hits.
Hopefully she will not be too much bother to us...water temps in the Gulf are down some too. We'll see what happens, though.
That's what they said about Wilma... and we all know how that turned out.
I hereby resurrect Hunble's infamous prediction about Wilma and apply it to Gamma. By the time Gamma leaves the Yucatan, it'll be a rather minor, weakening storm. ;)
Sorry to hear about your roof Laz. I had some damage, but not enough to file a claim. I've got the buckets ready to go. My neighbor has a kiddie pool in her bedroom.
I hate to say this, but two nights ago, I had a dream of a tornado approaching my block. All my neighbors and I were standing out on the street, watching the thick funnel a few miles away. We panicked when it became obvious it was headed right for us, but as it got closer, it dwindled in size. By the time it reached my street, it was only a foot wide! People were poking their fingers in it. Strange dream, to say the least.
