They have a right to petition for redress. The proper channel is to utilize the press, and write their elected representatives that voted to grant the executive branch war powers. Nobody is being denied the ability to protest on private property that they own or have leased. Nor have they been denied the ability to request a permit or variance to protest. These people simply do not desire to abide by local laws and ordinances. No rights have been trampled.
Well, the arrests are front page (even Mother Sheehan's picture without actually being there) on Yahoo - it is going to to be played up in the MSM unless there's some (legitimate) news story in the next 24 hours.

The reason this happened, was that adjoining landowners were totally ticked off by the gathering of the protestors last time. The protestors left a total mess - which the property owners had to clean up, and the traffic was detrimental to the other landowners.
Not to mention - a threat to the safety of the President.
It seems the City Council had a meeting with the landowners and they decided to change the ordinances so these protestors cannot continue to harrass Bush's neighbors.
I think it's great! No fighting. Just change the law!!

Sheehan's single arrest will (unfortunately) get more news coverage than today dozen.
It's Thanksgiving weekend - that means when the MSM is not covering Cindy Sheehan, they'll be giving us nothing but "you people with your turkeys in your nice warm homes are nothing but rotten SOB's because the poor are dropping like flies thanks to the Bush depression!"
IOW, this is a really good weekend to pick up that book you've never had time to sit down and read, go through the DVD collection, or Freep non-stop.
Or, you could do what I'm going to do - head out to the woods and pitch the tent. At least if you live in Florida.
Unless something big happens around the world in the next few hours, this (and Thanksgiving get-away traffic) will be the lead story this evening.
